1. Raid> M-mount and S-mount versions of new Zeiss Sonnar 50/1.5 lens are equal optically. Just the focusing system and looks of the lens is different.

Lutz> I was just curious, if Raid had also that lens on his test-list, nothing else. I'm happy with my own Sonnar and other 50mm lenses, too. I'm not looking obsessively potential alternatives; comparative shooting is just fun occasionally. :) I could have just kept on shooting with my second 50mm lens: Summicron-M 50/2, which I bough new in 1981 and I still have it. My first one was Canon FD 50/1.8, which I bought back in 1976...

  4. I haven't noticed any focus shift either. But sometimes it's a bit tricky to focus at close distance with rf-version Rollei Sonnar 40mm/2.8 LTM/M on Rollei 35RF, because the lens can be focused to 70cm but the Rollei 35RF body can only handle 80cm.

Here are the shots, which I have took with that lens:
5. By the way, one Dutch webshop sold out all of their Spur Orthopan UR testkits after that article was published! Well, it was quite a small stock anyway and I managed to order their last kit - other went backorder. :) The dealer wrote me that they have just received many Spur Orthopan UR orders and it was quite strange...
