1.
Olympus OM4-Ti / 50mm Zuiko MC Macro / Eastman 5222 / Pyrocat-HD

Please click <a href=" rel="nofollow">here to view larger on Flickr.

EDIT: I posted this thinking it was a Leica, then realized it was actually from an Olympus. Doh!

 2.
I thought about it over lunch and agree with Rodeo Joe that it's unlikely to be 4x5 but 645 (the aspect ratio of the opening is longer than 4x5 and more like 645, IMO).

It looks more like the underside of a chimney on a MF SLR, like a Bronica. The part is molded but doesn't appear well crafted when compared to the same/suspected chimney part on my Mamiya RZ67. It's likely from a budget or Soviet Bloc camera.

 3.
Other alternatives: chimney top SLRs like the Bronica. Could be the underside of the chimney. Definitely not an RZ67 or RB67 (I checked my RZ). Might also be the underside of a chimney for a 645. Without scale it's hard to tell.

 4.
It looks like the back of a 4x5 large format camera to me, like the part that holds the ground glass and is flipped out of the way for the film cassette. The axis of the piece in the first photo looks as though it would open so that the film is loaded (or scene viewed) in a portrait orientation by default, which is atypical, and may help refine your search. I think you're right that this is a camera piece given the proportions of the opening.

FWIW, the piece in the center does not look like anything I've ever seen on a camera. At first glance it looks like the wind plate of a TLR but then it has those decorative raised bumps along the perimeter, which is unlike any decoration I've seen on a camera or camera equipment.

It's a relief to know that even in a galaxy far, far away they never standardized on Phillips-head. Flat-head, Phillips-head... it don't matter.

 5.
Thank you, Alex. It's nice to see Mamiya rangefinders represented this week.

 6.
The touch on my Mamiya 7ii is also sensitive. I've had several unintentional frames because of this. It just takes getting used to. It was tricky at the beginning but I hardly notice it now.

 7.
I needed to finish up a roll I was using to test film speed and dev times in a Jobo processor, so I went behind the Home Depot next door and shot this.

Mamiya 7ii / 80mm / FP4+ / Pyrocat-HD

Please click <a href=" rel="nofollow">here to view larger on Flickr.

 8.
+1 for Lenstag. They even scour the net for EXIF data from your stolen camera to help you track it down. It's free, a great app... why not use it?

 17.
Brilliant photos, Jennifer and Roger. Giovanni, your photos are causing me to see color in a different way. The month's not over!

 20.
Thank you, Knut, and I agree: this week is really nice. Lot's of heavy hitters.

Charlie, I didn't read your description before thinking "some architect is trying to imitate the stonework of the Incas". Lovely work as always.

 21.
That's very nice, Barry. I'm a sucker for still life.

 23.
This was shot with East German film that expired in October of 1975. I planned some shots that would take advantage of the dreamlike look of the film, availing myself of our drought relieving rains.

Yashica Mat 124G / ND 3.0 / ORWO NP20 / DD-X

Please click <a href=" rel="nofollow">here to view larger on Flickr.
