    It was the red eye setting on the camera that was on, it took me a second to figure how to turn it off. Thanks Hosteen!

    I purchased this to go with my D7000 and SB800. It's working but there is an unusual occurrence, when I take a shot and half press the shutter button this flash pre flashes twice and then once again when the shutter opens. Does anyone use this and can tell if I have some configured wrong or is that just the way it's supposed to work?
