1.
I've had my 5DsR for just over seven months and the sensor is still clean.

 2.
Thanks for the id Noreen.

 3.
Can anyone identify this hawk? Photographed in southern Arizona. Thanks.

 4.
I am not sure that I understand. On my 5DsR I can move the autofocus point using the multi-controller without pressing any buttons as lone as I am in metering mode. Try pressing the shutter release half way then use the multi-controller to move the AF point.

 5.
Gammons Gulch, Arizona.

 6.
Sounds like you are looking for Direct AF Point Selection on page 421 of the user manual.

 7.
Cooper's hawk with lunch.

 8.
This doe, like everything else around Tucson, is trying to keep warm. Thanks to El Nino we have been 10 to 12 degrees below normal all month.

 9.
The wheelwright's shop. Gammons Gulch, Arizona

 10.
I find myself switching tripod heads fairly often. Is there any reason not to mount a 60mm Arca-Swiss plate on each tripod head and a 60mm clamp on the tripod to make switching heads quick and easy?

 11.
The new Canon 100-400 may seem pricy at $2200 but it is, I believe, $500 less than the Nikon 80-400. Seems like Nikon may be shooting themselves in the foot with the new 200-500 $1300 less than the 80-400. On the other hand, I own both the new Canon 100-400 and the Tamron 150-600 because the 100-400 is smaller and lighter to carry, focuses to 1 meter and, with a 1.4x converter, gives me a 140-560 f8, which is better than not having a long lens with you.

 12.
I plan to stop at Kings Canyon N.P. on my way back from Yosemite next May. I am having trouble finding any information on photographing Kings Canyon. Can anyone point me to information for photographers either online or in a book? Thanks.

 13.
Does anyone know if an L-bracket for a 5D Mk III will fit a 5Ds/R correctly. The specs on Canon's Web site give the same dimensions for both but I assume the depth given is from the lens mount to the back surface of the camera. That does not mean that the distance from back to front across the baseplate is the same on both. If anyone has tried a 5D III L-bracket I'd like to know. Thanks.

 14.
According to the NPS Web site the alternate to 120 is up through Lake Tahoe then back down 395. That's to far so I'll skip Mono Lake on this trip. Thanks again for all of the information and suggestions. FYI, I am booked at the Cedar View Lodge in El Portal which is a reasonable location and price. I would have considered the Yosemite Lodge but they are already booked.

 15.
Thanks for the replies. I checked Wawona but the site said it is 50 minutes from Yosemite Valley so it did not sound very convenient. I will check Yosemite View Lodge and Yosemite Lodge.

 16.
Cooper's hawk (I think) with his breakfast.
