1.
The TO wanted aperture priority, the EF doesn't offer that feature.
If it's only for the occasional film, I guess you'd be happy with AV-1 or AL-1, both true aperture príority cams, but the AV-1 does not allow any manual override (however, indirectly it does via the ASA control).

 2.
The camera cannot ignore the manually set aperture, so it will use the aperture set by the user, it cannot adjust to the aperture the program mode would suggest. So if we assume the given situation from some posts above (P mode suggesting f/5.6 and 1/125), the camera will use the measured time but it also will use the pre-set aperture - which might now be anything but f/5.6 - resulting in an incorrect exposure.

 3.
@Michael: Doesn't Nikon rather have an 80/20 metering? That is what I always thought and that makes it really difefrent from any Canon A-series cam.

 4.
+1, the A1 is supposed to have a mirror cushion. Never saw one without.

 5.
EOS M w/FD 1.2/50mm

 6.
I'm surprised nobody mentioned the Canon EOS M to "recycle" FD lenses. Works fine, adapters are easy to get and cheap, and it#s a "native" solution ;-)

 7.
There is and was a big ballyhoo about films being damaged by airport security x-ray, but if you look closer you will find out that the only films that ever got damaged by this were those either scanned by outdated machines in some backcountry airports in Asia or Africa or those that were left in the luggage that was not hand-luggage. You really needn't worry about xray damages to films in Europe when the films are in your hand luggage. Actually, the natural radiation you are subject to in the cabin of your aircraft is higher than the dosis your films are exposed to. And refrain from putting your films in a "film-safe-box", because this will make the security team pull up the "volume" on their devices and THEN your films really get the full load!
Funnily enough, Europeans worry very much about the same when they travel to the US, bu the same applies here. So, keep calm and keep on shooting film.

Coming back to the initila question of the TO: What's the point of your question? Photos taken by FD equipment on film in Europe won't look much different than those taken with other analog equipment, say Nikon or Minolta.
I have photographed a lot in Venice and Florence over the past years. If you want to have a look, check out my flickr account and go through my pics there.
https://www.flickr.com/photos/teegee_pics/

 8.
another one, I got lost on olive trees this summer ...

 9.
I used this lens this summer on a Canon AE-1program, loaded with good old Kodak Plus-X and liked the lens a lot actually. I found it a very good lens for travels and ist proved to be able of remarkable results.

 10.
Thanks, Bill C. The top one shows guitar legend Andy Fairweather Low (formerly of The Amen Corner, nowadays with Eric Clapton) at a local festival in Germany.

 11.
Two pics that show that the FDn 2,8/200mm IF still shines on regular Canon FD-bodies, in thsi case the T90, loaded with Kodak Tri-X

 12.
No, I did not use the pressurized spray can to apply Ballistol. I put some drops into a syringe and applied really only one drop.

 13.
I do not know whether it is an internationally known product, but I used BALLISTOL to get successfully rid of the mirror/shutter squeak. I have used it on 3 different bodies which have all been running smoothly since then. I used a repair instruction from the internet, which I guess, has disappeared since then, but there will be some more recent tutorials around, I'm sure.

 14.
A very decent lens with a zoom range I'd like for my full frame EOS 6d. Sharpness and resolution are quite outstanding for such a lens, which leads me to believe that Canon's engineers did a very good job on the lens. I used it quite recently in my holidays (actually for the first time to a larger extent) and was very pleased with its IQ. Zooming is smooth, macro capacity is ok, though I would preferred to have the macro on the long end of the lens.

Here is a pic shot with the lens, only 6 weeks ago

 15.
Canon T90 with FD 2,8/200mm on Kodak TX 400; photos were taken at an annual music event in Guetersloh/Germany. The guy with the guitar is Andy Fairweather Low formerly of The Amen Corner, nowadays with Eric Clapton, Roger Waters and others.

 16.
stefano, see the bottom part of this link:
http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/companies/canon/fdresources/SLRs/ae1pgrm/html/index1.htm

 17.
No, no, you got something wrong there. Manual mode on AE-1p means that you turn the aperture ring onto the aperture you want to use. DO NOT handle the stop down lever, this is unnecessary with a real FD lens. Only when you want to use lenses with no automatic measuring you need to push the stop down lever (e.g. if you want to use FL-lenses on FD-bodies). With a Canon AV-1 you would do it likewise, because the AV-1 has only aperture priority in contrast to AE-1p with its shutter priority.
After setting the aperture ring you turn the shutter ring until the viewfinder confirms the aperture you have chosen.

 18.
How did you adjust a waist-level finder to the EF? Impossible unless you sawed the prism off. ;-)
Perhaps you mean an angle-finder?

 19.
same as above ...
