Personally, considering the subject matter, I like it as it is. Too much contrast can make it look "untreal". I think a split ND filter would might have added to the sky a little, but you would have had to use a square split ND filter and "played with it" to try adn get the horizon just right.
I like many of your others better. It's technically fine, but just a little boring by comparison to many of your others. But thanks for sharing it with us

I really enjoy this photo. The color and texture are great. I also like how you can "miss" the "main" subject, at first and find it later in the photo. I'll bet this is a fantastic 11x14. Well taken. Thanks for sharing it

I think the problem is that your using a wide angle lens full open. This creates very limited Depth of field, or makes much of the image "out of focus". For this photo it actually works? I'd classify this as an Abstract. What ever it is, the DOF adds to it. If you want to see more of the image in focus, then set the lens aperture to F/8 or higher. You could also "dodge" the bottom of the photo where it is so dark.
It's not great art Ian, but it deserves better than a rating of 3, IMHO. But some of these "photographers" would rather make themselves look good by tearing down others work. Keep shooting and sharing

I like this image, It just appeals to me. Voigtlander should use it to promote the 35mm, it's really one of the nicest photos taken with it that I've ever seen.
Thanks for sharing

So what do you think? It was the first time I used IR film

Nice photo. i like the sky and the DOF. The only thing that bothers me is the the tree is not straight in the photo. It gives a bit of a "tilt", but still a nice photo
-
Truly an example that simple is sometimes best. The play of light and shadow are excellent
Well taken
BTW, I saw your link on the PAW list

Actually,
There is a on site lab in the pro photogrpahy shop that still does B&W. I have them do it, since I have developed B&W myself for almost 20 years now.
I'm glad you like it. I'm going to do it in Infrared this weekend, just to see how it comes out

You don't have to delete it. I think it's always interesting to see different perspectives on images. Thanks for doing it.

Excellent DOF, and composition. I like the way the "stone" outcrop leads your eye up the mountain

Nice Rose. Excellent effect and lighting

The detail and changing colors of the trees and blue sky are all very nice. I really like how the crack leads your eye to mthe "Swirling" cloud. An interesting photo. Well composed and well taken

I think your art just keeps getting better and better. It's a nice vertical landscape. If you resho it on the horizontal, it would be a completely different photo.I like the color and lighting. It has very good DOF, I wonder how it would look if you cut out the front 1/3 of the photo? It might bring your eye to the "water" and tree more quickly. In any event I like it

really interesting lighting effects, but it might be a little bit too soft

Please feel free to give your opinion

You really couldn't ask for a nicer scene

John
this is really a nice silhoutte. I like the extended DOf into the mountains. What is the main subject, if I may ask?
Thanks
A good photo

I think this is one of your finest photos. I love the subject. The way the "wall" leads you inot the "building". I find myself wondering what it was? An ancient fortification? who knows.
Excellent contrast, perfect detail, perfect DOF, good sky. Sometime, try a Red filter on the same photo, I may not be any better, but it might add more detail in the sky, but I really do like it. My guess is that the larger the print size, the better you'll like it. It has so much going on in it.
Thanks for inviting me to look

I like the lighting, and the "towel" in the tree. Was it there, or dod you place it there
