Noticed you use PhotoShop, to get rid of the dust from the scan, use the Clone tool, hold down the ALT key to pick a area to clone, then just run the brush over the dust marks, hey presto, its gone! :)
-
Try a few different exposures, 12 - 15 - 20 sec, etc...
Photoshop is great for getting the horizon straight :)
Love your night shots Steven, any new ones?
-
Well done, this is excellent.
I think the car and angle of the horizon add to the photo, love the grain.

Thanks for the comments guys, yes Randall a human element would have been nice, someone locking/unlocking the bike perhaps...

Thanks for the comments guys.
Tris- yes on a tripod, with the exposure I'd say it was around 12 seconds @ F/5.6 using 100 ASA. With a nice well light subject like this I shoot between 12 to 20 seconds with F/5.6, F/8 and F/11 and I normally get ok results.
High end scanner would be the biz, I'm getting good results from the Canon which surprised me as it is only a flatbed scanner!!

Thanks for the comment and rating Ben.
The exposure was wacked as the sun was hitting the shop windows behind washing it all out. I just noticed this old lady crossing, did a quick focus and took the shot.

Another fine shot

Wonderful shot Anders

nice, pity about that white menu board, it got in the way
-
First or all its a good shot, do some cropping, there are a lot of lines here, play around with photoshop or the like, look at curves, you can almost do what ever you want
-
Love the heavily saturated colors of the cranberries and the swirling motion of the rake, nice cropping too.
Any photoshopping applied to this pic?
-
