I think this is a good idea for a series and have considered it myself given that large parts of the US are disappearing permanently.
Two thoughts re the picture. I am not sure I like the modern car there unless it is for contrast. Otherwise seems out of place for your theme.
Second, I would consider converting this to black&white, though the color is a more "real" documentation.

I was trying to get an almost Rothko type of effect of these great colors.

Thanks for your comments. I have made a copy without the geometric texture because I also felt it was too much. Kept the other effects. May post at some point.

This frightening image so sharply tells the story of the conflict no matter what your position. It makes me think of radiation, Darth Vader and Hannibal Lecter to mention a few. Very powerful image in a very difficult situation. The tension between what appears to be eyelash make-up and this mask is dramatic. Real people pulled-into unreal situations.
This image led me to your portfolio and after viewing it I feel very unqualified to offer a "critique" to you other than to say your work is wonderful.
Thanks for posting this.

Nicely composed and exposed. For me, the person in motion really sets this photo off well. Good work!

This church was completed in 1753 and was burned by British troops in the
Revolutionary War, was rebuilt and again burned by Sherman's troops in
the civil war and was never rebuilt. One of the first examples of Greek
architecture in this country.

This is a very nice photo, well-composed. I particularly like the wonderful colors both in the boat and the water. The boat and the person seem to me to lack just a bit of sharpness but perhaps that is intentional to go along with the reflective, dreamy feel of the picture. Looks like a very nice watercolor.

Please critique, thanks very much.

I really like the color, great contrast and composition. Maybe slightly too much sky but I would not change much The diagonal and orange shades work very well.

Thanks for your kind comments. The Ernst Haas comparison is high praise for sure!
