  1. <p>Obviously at this resolution no useful comparisons are possible, but just for fun, two shots of a church in Wakefield, Massachusetts with a Contaflex Super BC and Tessar 50/2.8, followed by some sort of Exa and a Zeiss Jena 50/2.8. Exposure information not recorded (but probably nominally the same for both cameras). Fuji 200 color print film, developed and scanned by the local lab.</p><div></div>
  2. <p>Taken at the Topsfield (Massachusetts) Fair last autumn. The Fair began as an agricultural show in 1820 and has been held annually (excepting six years -- three during the American Civil War/War Between the States and three during World War II) ever since. I'd like to be able to claim that I cunningly waited until an Asian guy walked in front of the "Orient Express" carnival ride, but it was really just random. Taken with a plain-prism Nikon F and Sigma fisheye. Fuji 200 print film, scanned indifferently but cheaply by local lab.</p><div></div>
  3. <p>So many interesting images. I particularly like Mark Kissel's grasshopper and Gordon B's snake. And Thom Polimeros' pond vignette is stunning. This bumblebee enjoying the allium sp. flowers is from a couple of years ago. I was looking forward to the allium again this year, but the lawn people apparently decided it was a weed and eradicated it from the flower bed. Aargh!</p><div></div>
