  1. I like the way the foreground trees frame the ones in the background. Nice "tri/quadtonish" combination of colors too. The deep depth of field/focus works well. Looks like a winner to me!..:)

Yeah, I'd say the spider really needs to be in sharp focus. You might want to crop the remnant of a border off the right side of this image. Nice colors.

Great colors here! If anything is holding this back, it's the crop/frame; I think it needs to come out further along the lower 3 edges (i.e., it seems like the subject is cutoff or "squashed" within the confines of the frame). Quite nice though.
  2. I think it's a bit too dark too. I took the opportunity for some Photoshop practice (I hope you don't mind). I lightened it up and "vignetted" it to produce the above. Nice shot/composition...:)

I think the front part of the branch should be in sharper focus. Regarding the frame: I don't think I like having it wider on the sides than on the top and bottom...and the thin line that is part of the frame accentuates the narrowness of the frame on top and bottom in less than flattering way, in my humble opinion. That all said, I do like this..:)

It's pretty, but I find the title and manipulation to be too sci-fi babble-ish. Maybe I'm just a little tired of seeing the influence of The Matrix appearing, like, *everywhere*..(!)
  3. I like the colors and textures. My only hesitation about it is that the subject seems to fit "uncomfortably" within the cropped frame...as though it needs more room to show itself. I can see why you cropped it where you did--and it works at a logical level--but my "inner eye" wants to see either more...or less. [i hope I've added more than confusion!..;)]
  4. I'm not particularly fond of the washed-out effect here; it lessens the visual interest for me. Tip: I would put this under the "Portraits" category to get more feedback on it once it leaves the initial "Newest Critique Requests" page. BTW, I really like photo# 1504360 in your Family folder..:)
