1.
A car show is a really bad environment to photograph a nice car. The lighting is bad, the background is bad, there's no room, etc. I wouldn't even take a camera. I was gather information and establish contacts. Hand out cards, sure, but you'll need some experience to produce good car photos. Look at some custom car magazines. Practice with your own car. Then you'll be ready tp produce.
Al

 2.
I was just looking at some wildlife photos posted by a professional on a blog about a travel seminar. It seemed like the clarity slider had been turned up to the point where feathers looked brittle, fur looked like wire and skin looked like sandpaper. I've even seen it overdone in news photos. Yeah, I can see enhancing micro-contrast a tad but it appears a lot of photographers are just automatically cranking it up. Feathers should look soft. Shadows should hide some detail. What do you think?
Al

The first thing that comes to mind is whatever adapter you use to mount the lens to your Olympus is faulty or poor quality and doesn't allow perfect focus at infinity. Once you move away from the hard infinity stop you can focus at closer distances.
Al

 4.
The Flickr/Yahoo thing has been happening for quite a while now. I'm invested in several Flickr groups and haven't found any alternatives. They changed the interface a year ago or so and it's been kinda quirky. I have to admit I haven't looked very hard for an alternative.
Al

 5.
This thread shows what worked for me in the Philippines last year: http://www.photo.net/travel-photography-forum/00bUoc

 6.
Have you weighed your contemplated kit and figured out how you are going to carry it?

I'd take the v1 and the F100 with your primes and maybe a 180, either the AIS or the AF one. I'd have a monopod myself.
Al

 7.
I have that lens and on a D7100 I concur with your assessment.
I recently bought a 70-300mm F4-5.6D ED (the non-VR one) and find it slightly better at 300mm and with much less CA.
Al
