Can the 1+4 Dillution be used for both film and paper?
edit: nvm

I have the 1litre bottel of ilford rapid fixer and want to make 1 US Gallon for film and another 1 US Gallon for Paper.
The bottle says "Film and Paper Fixer " and underneath it has the 5 Litres (1+4) and 10 Litres (1+9).
When i open the instructions it says Ilford PAPER Fixer is a rapid acting fixer...
and it says Dillute concentrate 1 + 3 with water.

Ive got two bottles of d76 and dektol (they dont contain much) and theyve gone bad so i need to mix a new batch. My two questions are:
1) Can i wash the bottles and re-use them for my new batch?
2) Is it okay to dump the un-used d76 and dektol down the drain?

Hello all, i am using a Yashica 635 but it does not have a light meter and was wondering if anyone could recommend me a good affordable light meter that i can use with my camera since i plan on using diff types of film.

-

the pin springs out when i open the back and springs down when i close it, but nothing happens to the counter. I e-mailed the original owner and he said he mostly used the camera for 35mm photography but hasnt used it since the 80s, maybe it needs some cleaning inside... how can i get this thing opened?

-

Hello everyone, i just purchased a yashica 635 which seemes to be in great condition physically but today while loading 120 film, I closed the back lid after aligning the arrows on the camera to the arrows on the film and the counter never turned to S or 1, it stays on what looks like a zero with a dot on the middle. I purchased the camera from its original owner through ebay and he gave me the manuals and 35mm kit but this is killing me becuase i dont know when to advance for my next shots.

success, it came out great, thanks guys!

nice, im going to give it a try tonight and see how it comes out. thanks dudes. o another question, is it the same procedure with the rapid fixer and hypo clear, add 11oz of rapid and 11oz of water and then 11oz of hypo and 11oz of water @ right temp according to their charts and then discard ?

-

oh man i see now, my tank holds 22oz so i can use 11oz of my stock solution and 11oz of water, correct? and can i add really cold water to my 11oz of stock solution to make it the rigth temp?

i have kodak d-76 gallon powder mixed with a gallon of water, does that mean i have to look at the Developer (1:1) chart?

-

back in school we had to fill our tanks with 11oz of developer (d-76) and 11oz of water. I have a gallon of D-76 here at home thats been mixed with water, Do i fill my tank with 22oz of this mixture if my tank has two rolls of films? and do i fill it up with half of this measurement (or as long as the first roll is covered) if im only developing one film roll?

and my other question is this, my developer is a bit warm so in order to achieve the right temp can i put it in the fridge for a minute or two?

-

Hey guys i just mixed my two developers, the kodak d-76 and the kodak dektol in two diff 1gallon bottles with their correct temperature, my d-76 did not change color at all which worries me because i remember d-76 being a bit yellowish, the dektol did come out yellowish, is this all good? the date of expiration for the d-76 is december 2010.
