1.
Hey Dan,

thanks for the book suggestion, but thats what photo.net is for! im looking to get a 1:5 - 1:10 magnification. I want to photograph a gold nugget to cover close to a 4x5 frame. im looking at a tominon or ysarex 75mm or 105mm. are their any other lenses to look for?

 2.
Hello,

Im looking for a cheap Macro lens for 4x5. I just purchased a 150mm G-Claron for close up work, but it seems to get a close as my 150mm APO Sironar-S. bummer. I know of the nikkor and rodenstock 120mm macros, but dont really want to spend so much money on a specialized lens. Im looking for a lens with a huge magnification. Would a Tominon or Ysarex lens work well?
thank you in advance.

 3.
Hey Guys,

Does anyone have any experience to remove the RF on a Linhof Technika 4x5 camera?
I have a used Technika V and I dont use the RF at all. I figured I could remove all the RF parts and cover up the gaping hole with a solid piece of aluminum. any thoughts or issues i should be worried with? THANKS.

 4.
Very Nice!

I just built my 20th camera. I find using the original 127mm ysarex lens is the best option. I have made other models with 135mm sironar-n lenses, but It got annoying to screw and unscrew the front element of the lens everytime you wanted to use the camera.
I used to make the camera fitted with a horseman 4x5 graflok back, but switched to the spring back from the graflex 4x5. I hardly used the graflok option on the back. The spring back is lighter, thinner, and overall size was much smaller then any other back. to insert film holders in a spring back is a lot smoother and easier to do with one hand.

00XRJB-288223584.jpg.a323094463e0f882f6e5549c173e4fc8.jpg

 5.
Hello All,
quick question about the GF670 and the Bessa III. One is a Heliar and the other a Fujinon, are the lenses exactly the same construction? I prefer the Heliar 5 element 3 groups. I own a few of them for Lar ge Format. I want to buy the Chorme GF670 Body, but just curious about how the Fujinon Lens Construction. thanks.

 6.
Hello All,

I have a black M6 body non ttl. I love it but i hate how I always have to tape up the logos. I would just get a m4 or m3 but i really like having a light meter built in. I cant justifying buying an MP because im and going to abuse the camera.

Is it possible to replace the top cover of the M6 with a chrome M4 top cover? Is it a perfect fit? thanks!

 7.
Hello,
How do you attach a Cambo / Calumet Reflex Hood to a Speed Crown Graphic 4x5 field camera? I have seen this conversion done before from other owners with this reflex hood. I have also seen it done with the MP-4 reflex hood, but its too large for my taste. any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

 8.
hello,

Im looking for a 35mm slr or 35mm point and shoot that imprints the date directly on the 35mm film frame. I personally dislike the date printing option on cameras, but its for a specific project I had in mind. I would like a to buy a good camera with good optics, like a contax t2 or yashica t4. any suggestions or SLR options? THANKS.

 9.
I have both cameras. I LOVE MY Master Technika, but I use my Wista VX most of the time. Wista is for travel and rugged work. they are very similar cameras, but if you ever had the chance to use a Master Technika, you will see and feel the fine craftsmanship. Wista is a solid camera, affordable and a practical choice.

If anything you should buy these cameras used. 4x5 field cameras aren't complicated or have a million screws and gears. If you tip your tripod over you wont feel bad. A Wista vx will run you 700-900 used, Master Tech is about 2000-2400 used. spend the extra money on lenses, because thats where it matters.

I have used Toyo field cameras before and I really hate how you have to fold down the front standard when you close the camera. Its one extra step that I hate doing. If you dont do it right you get wrinkled bellows, like you see on most used bodies. You also cant fold the camera down with a lens attached.

you can also but new-used bellows for Crown Graphic on ebay for 20 bucks..I hope that helps.
