1. Yes Shuncheung, this is what exactly happened!
2. Ben, you are life saver! Thanks a Lot for helping me out, ya it was locked, issue resolved. Thanks again.
3. Hello Everyone, I bought this D7100 brand new probably 2 years now and never had any issues until last week, For some unknown reason focus point doesn't move and just stays in the middle, tried many times but getting no where, even rebooting doesn't solve the issue!! Any advice? Is it a mechanical problem and do i have to send it to the store or i can fix it by myself? Thanks. Raihan.
4. duly noted. please go ahead and delete the images, once again Thanks everyone.
5. yes Dieter, i did some tuning few years back following a youtube clip, i did everything possible in my limited knowledge to get better images but i agree that was probably not enough. @2Oceans, Thanks a lot for the inspiring comments, will try to follow the tips! Cheers!
6. if you think there's no issue then probably it's my mind set, i don't know why i always think my image is not as sharp as others :(
7. hi ShunCheung, the couple picture looks a bit soft i found, the 2nd image is ok in terms of sharpness, both are unedited and for the 2nd image, if i'm not mistaken, my flash was bounced but right on top of them, there were few LED bulbs hanging to create discotech type ambiance. So as i mentioned earlier i found my images not tack sharp and from all the comments I kind of aware that buying a D700 won't solve the problem, so it might be my lens. But if an experts like yourself says it's looks ok in terms of sharpness, that probably give me some self confidence or moral boost and i really appreciate that!!
8. Thanks once again for the valuable comments. My image quality gets better after i got the nikkor 17-55 last year, replacing the Sigma yet i'm not just 100% happy, and to answer "bgelfand", i use auto focus always and use the single manual focus point. I'll try out the chart n plugins. And by nature 80-200 gives a bit softer images compared with 70-200 I believe, that might be another reason coz none of my fellow photographers use 80-200 and some of their 70-200 images comes tack sharp. Anyway, down the road if necessary I'd probably go for a D7200 or 7500. Have a great day everyone. Raihan.
9. Hi Everyone, I've been doing wedding photography for more than 5 years now, mostly Indian. I own a D7000 and D7100 with 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, 17-55mm and 80-200mm (and nikon speedlights). Regardless of having all the Nikon equipment s I'm not happy with my image qualities, I always find my images are not as sharp as others!! Yes I know about tripod, shooting in RAW, sweet spot, exposure, post process etc yet I found it somehow my images are not crisp! (or who knows may be it's my psychology) I always wanted to buy a FX and after all my homework, I decided to try a D700 with my 50/85 and 80-200 combo and see if things get any better. Found few old bodies less than 40k clicks for $600/700 Canadian. So kindly advise if this upgrade is worthy? Would it be wise to buy a 700 in 2019? Thanks a Lot and appreciate all comments. Raihan.
10. Hi Everyone, I'm exploring the world of "mirrorless" and come up with some questions, please enlighten me with your thoughts! I shoot with 2 Nikon DX bodies and got lenses like 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, 17-55mm, 80-200mm etc. From a youtube clip, I've got the idea that any Nikon lens can be mount on Nikon mirrorless with an adapter! Now my question is since these new cameras come up with large sensor in a small body, therefore, can Dx lens be mount on mirrorless? is ther any crop factor or any other issue? my two other questions are, why should I buy mirrorless over Dslr? (except that overweight factor) and how good is Nikon mirrorless Z series? Please advise. Thanks in advance. Raihan.
11. Thanks for the comments n suggestions!
12. Hi Everyone, Greetings! This is a re-post, i posted it yesterday in wedding forum but got no reply! I shoot mostly East Indian weddings which in most cases take place in grand reception halls. By nature these weddings are not as organized as Western weddings and attended by hundreds of enthusiasts crowds. To overcome the low light scenario it's extremely difficult to mount lights/umbrellas as its often tipped by photo enthusiast crowds or kids regardless sand bags presence. My last event was one of those days where ceiling was about 20 feet high, candle light ambiance and I was struggling with my light stands. I ended up using sb700 manually with high power/iso combo and spent lots of time for post productions. Therefore I was just wondering, could on camera Softbox or Rogue flashbender be any good (for family pictures to be more specific)?? Anyone have any experience or any advise for me? I'd really appreciate if you share, Thanks. RaihanM.

14. Good Day Everyone, My apology if I post it in a wrong place and hope I can get some advise to get my issue resolved. I use Nikon D7000 and D7100. My desktop pc runs on Window Vista (2007) and laptop on Window 8. Both pc got Lightroom 4 installed. Now I'm trying to transfer the NEF files to edit in LR but seems it not compatible. Can anyone please tell me what can I do to get this issue resolved? I know my Desktop is pretty old and probably won't support but is there anything to be done for the laptop? Can i upgrade the LR or add any patches or software to get the pictures work properly in the Lightroom. Many Thanks in advance for the support. Regards. Raihan.
15. Hello Everyone. My question has two parts. I have been a D7000 and D7100 user for last few years yet I'm not sure if I understand the function of Auto Focus Points correctly. I have been googling and youtubing and there are numerous articles and clips that explain things pretty well BUT I couldn't find one clip or article that explains what's the benefit of using single point or 9, 21 or 51 one over the other! I have some decent idea about afa, afc and afs. Since i do mostly wedding and shoot lots of portrait and group shots, i prefer to keep it in AF S with Single focus points but can someone please explain what would be the benefit of shooting at 21 or 51 af points over the Single? I mean what's the differences and what focus points gives better sharpness for single portrait and group shots? Thanks in advance. Raihan.
16. Thanks a Lot. If i understand you correctly then only Ai models are compatible right?
17. Hello Experts, I own a D7000 and 7100 and I was just wondering if Nikon 50mm f/1.4 NIKKOR-S - Non AI lens can be used on any of these 2 bodies? As per Ken Rockwell's review 7000 is compatible, of course in "manual" mode but the local vendor refused to sell saying it is Not compatible!!! I tried to do my own research yet I'm not sure and wondering if anyone of you can guide me. Thanks in advance. Raihan.
18.
Hi Everyone,
I'm thinking of buying a set of wireless radio slave and i know probably "pocket wizard" is the best in the market but is there anything else you can recommend which is not super expensive but a good reliable, easy to use brand for Nikon d7000/7100? Thanks in advance. Raihan.

19.
Thanks so much everyone. Charles I'm wearing a wrist band with metal support inside but after few hours it feels heavy on my hand. Greg I do mostly events like wedding or birthday parties. Thanks once again, will keep my 80-200 :)
