1.

I am glade to share my special developer formula for high contrast microfilm with all of the microfilm fans who headache for it's development .I research this formula over 4 months,at last got it out.it can get portrait tone.I name it ULC,I also keep improving it’s performance of storage.till now,I publicize the version 3 of ULC.expect all of the miniature fans, who like microfilm, can get good portrait tone with this cheap developer.
/*******ULC-3****************/
Phenidone ? -----------------5.5g
Potassium thiocyanate ? ----------------- 2.2g
sodium dodecylbenzene sulphonate --------------------1g
Ascorbic Acid ----------------- 0.5g
Triethanolamine (TEA) ----------------- 50ml
1,2-Propanediol ----------------- 45ml
/**********************/
Mixed together above 70 degree centigrade .
?Perhaps some solid can"t dissolve at now,don't worry,just leave it. It will dissolve over several days.perhaps there are still some dodecylbenzene sulphonate not to dissolved,don't care it,it don't infect the power?
please Keep it in sealed bottle ,at the dark place.usually can store1-several years.
It is better test it with part film before develop film for a long stored ULC.usually the film should be dark entirely about 5 min.
1:50 dilution, once be dluted,please use it as soon as better,not over 2 hours.
for Kodak imagelink HQ(ASA20-25)or(ASA80-100),about 5-8min at 20-30 degree centigrade,
You can also try to use it to develop Kodak TP or other high contrast microfilm.thanks.
If some other question,please send to my e-mail: d_y79@ymail.com

the pics of microfilm+ULC is here:

  2.
during my looking for a better developer for kodak microfilm,I ever try caffenol for kodak imagelink FS 1455,over nearly 2 hours developing,and got this type pics, shot by minox A8X11MM, I don't think it is a bread-&-butter formular,it will cost so long time,and the density is also very thin.

00VgS0-217367584.jpg.2c7b36873e3c62ee4c496d02e63ed7cf.jpg

  3.
I opened the unused cassettes,so I reload the back paper. 110 film only has 100 and 400 ASA.usually the 110 cameras hasn't ASA setting knob,it was setted by the cassettes type.so,if the cassettes is ASA100 type,you should choose kodak imagelink FS(1455 OR 3455,ASA 80-100),and imagelink HQ(1461 and 3461,ASA20-25) is hard to used in 110 camera,but I ever use it in minolta 16 and kiev30.
the frame space will be more and more wide,just like the film in picture(shot by pentax auto 110) ,it only wastes film,and it is decided the cameras type that how many frames for one rolls .

  4.
yes, all of the minox riga,A,B,C... use the same size cassettes. I ever used my riga with minox plastic cassettes.
perhaps only the first Ur -minox use 8.75mm film and frame is 6x9mm,but there are only one in the world.while riga was born,the cassettes has been modified as 8x11mm,9.4mm wide,as same as current minox cassettes...

  5.
john,usually,the resolving power of common lens and negative is about 100lp/mm, so it hard to get big pictures from general mini camera.
but,
(1)minox 8x11 F3.5/15mm complan lens has over 360lp/mm resolving power,
(2)kodak microfilm has ultrahigh resolving power,imagelink FS(630lp/mm,ISO80),HQ(800lp/mm,ISO20),
(3)minox enlarger is fitted the same lens as minox camera's,so the enlarging lens also has over 360lp/mm resolving power.
for all of about 3 reasons,it is easy to make big photo from minox 8x11.I ever used minolta 16 and kiev 30,their lens do not have so high resolving power.

  6.
actually,there are some other type 6v point light bulbs, which can work as a substitute for Dr.FISHER.such as PHILIPS 7388 6V 20W,or OSRAM 64250 6V 20W ,they are cheaper,and has about 2x2mm filament,even better than Dr.fisher's.of course you should build a lamp holder,because it has 2 pin interface,and make the filament at the right place.but it is very easy to do.
btw,philips 5761 lamp perhaps is the best choise,6v30w,and has a 1.5mmx1.5mm filament,765lm,3200k,and 100h life.the filament is far smaller than Dr.FISHER,it should be better.

  7.
minox 8x11 is very great camera with ultrahigh resolving power lens. I also collected many minox 8x11 cameras and accessories,such as minox riga,minox A,MINOX B,C,EC,minox tank,projector,enlarger model I,II,III,many minox books(minox guide,small minox big pictures,minox memo...many minox AD paper..) ,I shot a lot of pics with my minox A,I process the film and print them at minox enlarger by myself. I just upload some pics yester night ,link http://www.photo.net/minox-camera-forum/00VTo5
and also welcome to visit my album http://www.flickr.com/photos/33122535@N07/
I am glad to share experience with each other.thanks,
Jack

    /*********************/
thank you.
all of these pics is copy by DC from my minox film for I still not get one scanner.
I prefer to print some pictures at darkroom at my minox enlarger model II.in order to communication with friends, I have to transform the film to digital pics.
