1.
William W: OK I just thought maybe I had post something thing inappropriate. I see that you are a moderator and I thought you was giving me a hint that my post was improper. Thanks, Robert

  2.
Moderator William W.: What are you trying to ascertain with your post?

My Bio-page is public information to all members here on Photo.net... Anyone reading my post has already read what I wrote so why repost it? What is the reason for your post? You did not post anything useful or informational. Is there a problem? Robert

  3.
Recently I have had two friends that damaged some of their photographic equipment. After seeing the cost of replacing and repairing a camera and a lens I have decided to purchase an insurance policy that covers primarily damage and repair of equipment. Although my photographic equipment is covered for theft by my home owners policy I now see the need for an additional policy. Would anyone care to recommend a reputable company that they have had satisfactory personal experience with?

I wish to thank everyone for their replies and information now. Thank you, Robert

  4.
Sandy I did mean anything negative, just my dry humor. Robert

  6.
Lannie: Food for thought. My dad told me this a long time ago. Son there is nothing good usually going on from 12 am to 5am.

Any time you're out photographing people between the hours of 12am to 5am you are more than likely to run into less than favorable people more often than not. People that have reasons to hide their face because they may be doing drug deals, cheat on their wives/husbands or other suspicious things. So if you're out at that time you got to be prepared to take the good the bad and the ugly in stride.

  7.
I was told by B&H Photo that the Sekonic L478DR will not fire Elinchrom flash units electronically. The Pocket Wizard and the Elinchrom Skyport receiver work on different radio frequencies.

Elinchrom and Sekonic working in partnership have come out with the Sekonic L478DR-U-EL that is design to works with the Elinchrom Skyport radio receiver. The L478DR-U-EL also allows you to control the flash power setting wirelessly. Thanks for your feedback and information. Robert

  8.
Can anyone tell me if the Sekonic L458RD Litemaster PRO (with built-in Pocket Wizard) will fire my Elinchrom D-Lite RX4it flash unit electronically in order to get a meter reading?
I have used Pocket Wizards and Pocket Wizard clones to fire other flash units but have not tried using Pocket Wizards with my Elinchrom unit as it came with the Elinchrom Skyport Speed Flash Trigger and built-in receiver in the monolight. I'm wondering if the Elinchrom built-in Skyport receiver is compatible with the Sekonic L458RD Litemaster's Pocket Wizard?
Thank to everyone for their information and feedback. Robert

    ... day 12, february

Each time I look at your photographs this is the one that stands out. It is well posed, simple and very intriguing.
  10.
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the Sekonic L308S and the L308S-U Flashmate digital light meters? Is there really any major differences? Or would one be just as well off with the L308S for less money than the L308S–U? I want to thank everyone now for their input.

  11.
The answer to your question is; Yes my film cameras start a lot of conversations. I have been approached numerous times by people asking if I'm shooting film(Nikon F2, F100). The majority of the questions/conversation is related to film development and prints. The number one question is. Where do you get your film developed and prints made?

  12.
I want to thank all of you for the information and feedback to my question. Robert

  13.
I've been told that both Canon and Nikon use plastic lens in their premier lenses. Anybody know for sure?

  14.
I keep all my boxes for two reasons. 1. Every time I have traded in a camera body or lens the camera shop or buyer always ask if I have the box, charger, equipment and manuals. On several occasions I have actually been given an extra $10 to $15 on the trade-in for having the box. 2. The box is the best packaging to use if you have to ship your equipment to the manufacturer for repair or adjustment or if you sell it to somebody and mail it to them. The extra protection when shipping is well worth the slight inconvenience of keep the box(my opinion). As for storage, I keep the boxs in plastic bags along with silicone gel packs to keep moisture out and put them in my basement/garage.
