1.
Actually, no. Haven't used it much yet but so far, mostly good results. It does take a little attention and trial-and-error to get a good result. Try changing the direction you're dragging from, don't get too much outside the area you're correcting. Huge improvement using Content-Aware over just the Spot Healing Brush. It won't always work for you but when it does, it's worth the price of the upgrade.
2.
I have a Canon 28-70 f/2.8 L that started to get a little soft as it aged. Can't remember what you call it but there was a part that needed replacement and it is common with this lens. Cost just over $100.00 and it has worked like new since on all of my cameras.
Good luck,
Al

I bought one of the first 10D that arrived in Nashville. I used it until the 20D came out and upgraded. It was a good move but I wish I had kept the 10D also. It was a lot quieter (shutter) than any I've had since and I sold it to my daughter who has used it for weddings and portraits as well as personal use and continues to use it trouble-free to this day. True, it is a little slower than those produced since but depending on what you want it for, it could serve your purposes admirably.
Every time I think I need a newer camera I look at the work my daughter does with her 6 megapixel 10D and save my money.
