I'm grabbed by the oddly cheerful pink curtains or shutters in the center window, and then struck by the dark, eerie noise enveloping the house. the pink window is very hard to interpret, but i like its contrast with the atmosphere. and let's not overlook that the color palate generally is very appealing. I'd love for you to look in my gallery for a picture I call House on SideStreet In Montparnasse, which eerily resembles yours.
