Thank you Ray that was very nice of you to do. Thank you guys for thoughts. I posted untouched because i wanted you to see the orginal quaility. I am very new to retouching. Your ideas are very helpful. I guess I need to play more with to the touch up stuff, I have Noiseware, and Photoshop, but I do not always see the differents after I touch pic's up.

I took the shot with a D300 sigma 70-200 f2.8, At 3200 iso shutter 500 handheld , in M mode The picture is straight from the card. Please give me your honest thoughts and any tips? On the screen it does not look crisp to me. I have had a few of other shots printed and they look good. I really want your opinons.. How large of a print do you think can be made and still look good???

I have a kit lense 18-55 3.5-5.6 from a D50 that will not auto focus, it tries but can not find a focus. I have tried it on two cameras no luck. Is it worth sending back to get it fixed. I have not used it in a long time, but now that i have a second camera i might used it if i had it do not really know. I am really want a sigma 18-50 f2.8 for a general walk around lense, I believe it would be more useful. I am wrong??

I am asking for your help in getting the setting right or very close the first out. I know i have a large learning curve ahead of me and a half day is not enough.
Here is what I do know the iso will be 1600 t0 3200 shutter 400/500. Apturee ill be 2.8. I am going to try the 51 point focus and white balance will be auto. So what i am i missing????

water mark
in Sports

How do you put a water mark on a picture. Water mark may not be the right word. I want to put words on pictures so that they can not be reproduced with out the words. I take pictures of my kids teams and i do not want the pictures reproduced with out me knowing who is reproducing them.
-

I just got a new lens (sigma 70-200 f2.8). I will be shooting indoor volley ball on tuesday. My camera is a Nikon d50 i have shoot v ball before with this camera using a tamro 28-300 f3.5-6.3. I have been using manual mode iso 1600 (that is as high as the camera goes) most of the shots i have taken have been at 70 zoom f4 (anything more then that the shots come out to dark and gainy). Shutter speed 200 or 250. The shots i have been getting are for the most part are ok (little dark and grainy).
What should i do different (setting wise) with the new lens to get the most out of it, and what shouldi expect???
I am going to try and post a pic, to show the quaility i was getting with the old tamron lens, I have never posted a picture here so we will se how it goes..

What will give me the best bang for the buck?
A new camera D90 or a used D300.
Or a sigam 70/200 f2.8 lense.
I will replace the camera when money allows right now all i have is $1000.
