Ricardo,
Very nice work. Enjoy the variety of light, throughout. Model gave you a fine, grace filled, pose. Good to see such nice work with the D40 & 50mm f1.8...proves it doesn't take the high end equipment, just a good photographer, to make such an image. Thanks for posting.

Uh Bob, did you ask her what she was checking out?

I agree with Michael's comments. Certainly is a picture that is simply enjoyable to look at. A fine piece of work. My, some of our models are certainly asked to handle some tough circumstances. The water must have been chilly, and then having to lie down on rocks...calls for a cognac bonus.

Andy,
This is a very engaging portrait. I have no background to comment on its technical aspects, and the comments so far look very helpful. I discern from the tags, that this may be your grandaughter? If so, it is understandable that you didn't ask for changes to her makeup or clothes.
I would wager she was very pleased with the results, regardless.

A very nice capture, with good DOF and color.

Great capture. Blossom, butterfly & bee. Most unusual to see all together.

Simply a comment; I admire your ability with your camera, and with your ability to approach people and have them agree to be photographed. These two very charming women appear happy to be posing for you. I am trying to learn how to approach people, but I must not have the very open and honest face that you do.
I wish you continued success, and keep posting!

For a first attempt, I would say this is most successful. I like the lighting of the hair and the color tones. You chose an attractive model and pose. Perhaps her hand could have been turned a bit more edge toward the camera? You have done the work I hope to be doing in a year or so. Please keep shooting and posting here
so we can watch your progress.

No critique; just the thought of a blue sea, white rigging, a beautiful blonde woman with the sun on her face and the breeze in her hair, headed for the home of
Ulysses. Maurizio, life can be very, very good. Thank you for sharing this.

Suggested title...."Route 66". Haven't tried car shots yet. Good Luck.

Very nice shot with great colors. But Robert, is this corn? Appears more as
wheat or oats. No matter the crop (pun intended), well done.

This is a very "rich" portrait, and is most suitable as a glamour, commercial work.
The model reflects class, and a certain aloofness in expression. The cape is of the highest order. Your lighting provides the right emphasis throughout. Compliments to you.
