No post-processing, just using a flash in a small rainforest puddle in
the middle of the night.

While this may not be an exiting artistic image it certainly is rare
in terms of wildlife photography. In all my years in Africa I only
once spotted a Caracal. They are amazing elusive cats and of lightning
speed; catching birds in mid-air. Considering myself very very lucky I
actually caught this one carrying a bird it must have snagged out of
the sky just as dawn fell.

Wonderful moment, light and pattern - great great picture. Cheers, Mark.

Great exposure, not easy getting those white tones just right. Cheers, Mark.

I love the monocromatic gentle colours of this one and of course the capture of a tender family moment. Cheers, Mark.

You should not keep this shot a secret - love it. Cheers, Mark.

Good composition; I notice you have some closely cropped animal images in your portfolio. Cheers, Mark.

Beautiful colours and lighting on this one too. Cheers, Mark.

I really like the "off" hours landscapes - you have some real good ones in your portfolio - but this one stands out for me because of its subtlety in colours. Cheers, Mark.

Hi Steve, sorry for the late reply. Yes, I have been contemplating cutting the lower part. I decided against because I feel the foreground emphasizes the low angle...ah well, maybe you're right.

Steve, sorry for the late reply. This was shot in Ranthambore Nat. Park in Rajasthan, India with a 300mm/2.8. Less than 10 meters away.

You may think you can see all animals on a plain - but just look
again. It amazes me how animals just blend into their enviornment,
camouflaged or as a beautifull addition to the landscape itself.
