  1. Maverick Viñales at over 200mph on Mugello's front straight.
  2. Marco was tragically killed in an accident at Sepang in October, 2011 and is so greatly missed by many. On a grassy hill behind the museum is this stainless steel creation, "Ogni Domenica", which erupts into fiery life for 58 seconds every Sunday at dusk. Simoncelli was a larger than life character and so is this memorial.
  3. Inside the Museo Marco Simoncelli at Coriano, looking at his Imola 2009 wildcard Aprilia RSV4 superbike. I will never forget his smash 'n' grab move on teammate Max Biaggi to grab a podium finish...see that wall photo! Surprise!
  4. Trenitalia's Frecciarossa (Red Arrow) at Cattolica. During my trip I rode four different trains which reached 300kph (186mph)...Frecciarossa, Italo NTV, SNCF TGV, and the Eurostar. In America, Amtrak's Southwest Chief reaches 90mph in some areas...almost a full 100mph slower!
  5. Treni italiano come in all sorts of shapes and colors. This is the "Jazz" regional in Cattolica.
  6. Train watching is an enjoyable pastime in Italy! Here's a Frecciabianca (White Arrow) racing through the Adriatic coastal town of Cattolica.
  7. South Africa's Brad Binder on the Moto2 pre-grid.
  8. Back at Mugello. I really liked the Team Sky VR46's special tricolore livery for their home event...che spettacolo!
  9. I stayed in Firenze (Florence). This is the backside of Ponte Vecchio, an old bridge of shops spanning the Arno River.
  10. Moto3 winner was #16, Andrea Migno of Team Sky VR46. It was his first victory at World Championship level, and at his home race in Italy...perfetto! All these images are with the T90, FD 300/ 4 L breechlocker, and Fujichrome.
  11. With horsepower fairly equal these races turn into drafting battles!
  12. Moto3 races are usually frenetic affairs, this one certainly was.
