Wow. I would be honored to be able to photograph a low key "redneck" wedding. This has opportunity written all over it. What client wouldn't be impressed with a well photographed low key wedding. It would give them a chance to maybe modify or change in some way their own high faluting wedding. Just a thought

YEAH! Great shots, all of you canonians, canonistas? As a nikonista, I can now look forward to Wednesdays and now Thursdays. Hurray! Keep up the good work.

As noted my picture was shot in perfect and full sun and the other one was shot in overcast (something that I have NEVER considered shooting in

You might try shooting it on an overcast day just to compare. If you look at the sunny picture, the teal is being picked up in the painted wheel rims at the back wheels, which are not in the bright sun. Looks like it is the paint.

I used this combination for many years but when I purchased an sb900 and and sb600, I put the cords away and never looked back.

I also upgraded from D70s to a D90. The battery consumption is comparable to the D70s except when using live view. I did a 50th wedding portrait session earlier this month with the camera on a tripod for about 3 hrs using live view plus walking around for casual shots for another hour and used about half the battery usage. I find this very acceptable. I've also heard that the EN-EL3e is backwards compatible with the D70s but I have never tried it.

If you don't print above 11 x 14, you should stick with what you have imho.

With a 12mp camera with good lenses and a tripod, 16x20 and 16x24 are easily obtainable.
Gets a little costly with the prints but is worth it.
Invest in good lens.

Same thing happened to me about two months ago. Sand between cover and display. Rats. Luckily just one little grain that polished up ok. Normally I take it off when outdoors since there is a lot of glare anyways. I have found that the cover is normally not needed.

I purchased the Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 VC about 3 months ago and I think it is a wonderful lens. Way less expensive than the Nikon 17-55 and still has great IQ. It also has the VC which is great in low light. It is also lighter but of good quality. Lighter is good when the arms get older.

Eddy Furlong: Am I seeing things or is that pot of gold at the end of a rainbow gas prices in the $1.31 range? Is this per gallon? If so, it is truly a treasure. I'm seeing 3.07 where I live.
Great photo at the right time.

I have a D70s and D90. I have consistently had prints enlarged to 16x20 and 16x24 with no problem. Of course, the camera is always nailed down with a tripod and the lens is stopped down to no more than f16. I don 't see what the big deal is. Try it! You'll like it!

Raaj - Very vibrant roses
Eddy - great lighting on the leaves
Kent - I like. Are you sure the camera is not too heavy?
This is a shot of a group of abandoned buildings from a commune from the turn of the 19th century in Santa Rosa, CA

Holy cow! Unbelievable photos. They get better every week. I feel humbled knowing there is such great talent out there.
This is a photo of an abandoned boat in Bodega Bay harbor in northern California. Pulled out my old Tokina 400mm MF because I knew it would be a soft focus photo. Wind was blowing so hard the camera just floated in the air. Actually I was pushing down on the tripod.

I have used the Pro Show for over a year and I have used tiffs instead of jpegs. With a normal resolution tv it doesn't matter, but when showing on a hdtv, the tiffs seem to give better resolution

Matt L. good dog!
Vineet: nice panorama
Matthew B: beautiful rose
Rich: great capture of a cowbird
Paul: Woodpecker mid flight - Good job
There are really too many great pictures to mention them all. A lot of talent out there. Keep up the good works
This late morning I finally captured some California poppies that had opened up for the sun

Matthew Brennan - Nice cloud shot
Dave Wilson - Beautiful rose. Mine have aphids to keep them company
I have been wanting to dig out my old ais 105 2.5 with extension tubes for some close-ups so I went out this morning and captured this lupine with poppies in the background. Love that old lens.

Congratulations Richard Karash. Just 14 more to go and counting for me.
BM Mills, congratulations on the "Big" step
Matthew Brennon - Excellent. Tack sharp
I went out to an old town where I lived a "few" years ago. Yes, I did graduate from this old one room school house. So sad to see it like that.
This photo was taken with a D90 12-24mm @ 200 iso. HDR from 3 shots

I just used my D90 with 12-24 this morning. Worked fine just pulling back on the focus clutch. No problems at all. I use this lens on my D70s the same way. Good cameras and good lens.

A lot of great shots. However, I'm getting cold just seeing so many photos of snow storms.
Last Saturday was Free Museum day in Sacramento, CA so my better half and kids and grandkids headed for the Train Museum. About 20k people visited that day. Very crowded and hot but a lot of fun.

I have a D90 and sb600 and sb900. I have had no problem with either. Last week I had a photo shoot and used both as remotes. You might check the where the sensors on the flashes are pointed. They are on opposite sides and it is easy to get them pointed away from the camera.
