I was worried about getting around the cages and being able to capture the faces of the girls but that did not seem to be a problem even in the funky UC lighting. You are correct it's the look on #10's face that makes the shot.

Beauty shot, very hard to get too. Lord knows I've tried often enough!

I'm new and self taught, but I wonder if this image could also legitimately be posted in an art forum. To my eye it crosses the line between sport and abstract design beautifully, bravo!

This photo makes me want to shoot rugby as well as hockey. Great angle, light good, the player in the back really adds to the piece.

Does this work for a portrait as well as sport? I'm undecided here, all comments

You caught Pavelec out of the crease, very unusual. You might think about sharpening his image. With Pavs it all about his eyes, those baby blues, you can read the Wolves score in them.

Great shot, It is just as important to have great photography for the little guys as well as the bigger and more famous players. The graceful position of the player to the right is very nice, colors are striking, well done.
