Nick,
I understand about the watermark, I hate that it is there too. The photo was published in an on-line publication and I have had more than a few images stolen and have had to resort to the big honking watermark.
Still I want to lower it to the center of the photo, I'm going to think about this.It offends me as a artist to place a watermark in the middle of a photo, but it offends me even more to see someone steal my work.
Thank you, Jane

You have see the art and grace in what many sport photogs would have seen as a "butt shot" and trashed it. I might add a bit of sharpness but that would be it. Well done.

This is a great shot, all I want to know is what is his story?

You caught the rawness of the moment. I like the fact he is in pads and the AC is standing behind a bit dazed the contrast works well. No flash?

Robert,
You have broken a few rules here and it works! Anyone who grew up playing pond hockey knows what it feels like and you captured a moment. How the game is played in our hearts and minds, really played late at night on local rinks and ponds, no helmets (God forbid!) snowy ice, with only hunger and frozen toes to drive everyone home. Teacher and student, passing it on, the lighting is just beautiful, you got it.
Only one question, just for grins...how would it look in B&W?

What a wonderful capture! Perfect timing and the color is great which probably was not easy in that spotty gym.
So many sports faces are straining you got a happy surprised one, very nice.
