Thanks for your interest Susmit.
Obviously this was shot with a tripod. I didn't have a shutter release at that moment so I set up the camera in shutter priority to 2 sec and let the camera decide on aperture. This was a 2 sec f14 iso1600. I wish I'd had the shutter release (now I do!), as I could had used bulb mode and decide when to trigger the shutter, instead of using the camera self-timer.
hope it helps!

Thanks for all your feedback on this one!
Mike, thanks for bringing up the sharpening issue. I've processed different versions of this shot and for this specific one, I just wanted to give it an old-looking appearance, quite over-sharpening and giving it a grainy finish. IMO, street shots usually look quite boring right out of the camera. What do you think? I hope the image processing adds to recreate the atmosphere at the market.

A pair of humpback whale tails on a not so clear day near Seward. I increased
background contrast a little bit. What do you think??
Thanks for looking!!

Taken at Pike's place in Seattle, where a bunch of street musicians play every day.
Comments and ratings are appreciated!
Thanks!!

Excellent BW shot. Love the grainy finish of the photo. Did you apply any dodging/burning or are the shadows in the lower side of the frame real?
Congrats!

Wow, amazing! You got the perfect light to capture all of the details in the iceberg. I just wish I could go on a trip like that. How big was the iceberg?? I guess it's just a little bit difficult to get a sense on how big this piece of ice is from this picture. Overall a great shot!

Hi,
the picture looks a little crooked to the left, although this might be just my impression. You could also increase the luminosity/contrast in the shadows in the foreground, as they occupy most of the frame. I would play with this things and see what you get.
Other than that it's a nice panorama!

Vaya foto! Son dos tomas mezcladas o realmente habia esa luz antes del anochecer?
Muy buena foto y muy buen portfolio!

Thanks for your comments Rob!
I took this one quite unexpectedly, one evening walking along the shore. It's a long exposure, as the sunset light was quite gone. That's why the foreground appears much darker. No PS!

Very nice BW, although what I like the most is the message... diffuse people around a begging person...
I would personally crop the lower part of the picture to have the person begging in a more attractive position. Just as a minor detail, the image looks crooked to the left, which is easy to fix.
I specially like the light on the guy; makes my eyes turn towards him. Nice job overall!

Great use of the HDR! I wish I knew how to get this post processing right. I specially like how this picture truly transmits the sense of being there, right on the street. Congratulations.

Ice Detail

Hi Larry,
As you well say, ice is really blue, but at least from what I see on my screen this looks like a little bit oversaturated. I like the detail of the ice though! nice close up photo!
