Add another one to the 'not very impressed' category. Ho hum!

I can hardly add anything new to the conversation. Clever and cute shot!

Can't say enough to praise this one. Absolutely superb.

Imaginative and clever and aesthetically pleasing. Bravo.

Ooops! I spilled some coffee on my picture, but it doesn't matter 'cause the kid was wrapped in a brown blanket anyway.
-
Excellent shot and great lighting, and a pertinent comment.

A very expressive portrait. Great contrast. One of the best I've seen lately.

This is one of those shots where you don't even think about the technical aspect of the image. The narrative content takes care of everything.

This image is very touching! It speaks volumes.

This is one of those pictures where the image is not merely a representation of something else, but rather, the image has a life of its own, so to speak, the image speaks for itself. I love the stark simplicity. It takes you in to an uncluttered scene that leaves you with a sense of marvel.

Technically perfect. I love the tone and the overall contrast from light to shadow. I would have preferred the image to be centered but that is an easy crop.

To me there is a strong sense of place in spite of some of the technical arguments above. It is hard to separate the technical elements of the picture from the subject matter: and in this case, the subject matter is a beautiful landscape. And I think the time of day was perfect for a good balance of light also for the distant mountans and the shadow below.

It looks to me like the picture has some serious problems with exposure, temperature, tone. The blast of light coming from lower left is not properly exposed. Somewhat of a curious portrait, as poorly developed images often are. You could argue in favor of it from some aesthetic point of view, but to me, as soon as I look at it, I see the technical flaws. It's almost like having to look at something through a dirty glass. There is a haze that is not flattering at all.

This one takes the cake: 7/7

I understand the idea of the meeting of two cultures, but it is not a strong, dramatic representation of it. To me, personally, it is not a very powerful image. The characters are not looking at each other, they’re going about their business in a casual way, nothing there to grab my attention.

This is a very nice shot, well done, good posing. The only improvement I might suggest is adding some light to soften the shadows. The way I look at it, it is almost too harsh on the right side.

This is an interesting image. To me, it speaks in two layers: the foreground is a silhouette of what looks like an old town with a church steeple reaching to the skies, but the entire layer is superimposed by the much larger second layer of some huge industrial complex, blowing opaque smokestacks into the night sky. It is almost like a tale of times past surrendered to the new industrial age with the night cover as a metaphor.

In any case: interesting and well done! -
Expressive and delightful.

Let me add to my earlier comment that I didn’t mean to use the word "snapshot" in a dismissive sense but more in a descriptive sense. The image truly looks to me like a cute snapshot. I don’t know how to give a better description of my own perception. And off course I could be wrong. That’s why we have multiple posters.

A very nice, cute, endearing ... snapshot.

Very good capture. The back light accents are perfect. Looks good in BW.
