1.
I have not taken many shots yet with my 1D mark lll just a few i have taken at my home two are in my album under macro,a parrot face side view and a seed head inside close up which i am very happy with the results, why.becuase i had take them in low light and also JPEG and not much work on them,my photos taken with my 5d was always taken in raw images as i was happy with jpeg results it produced what the 5d mark ll results from jpeg i do not know but i am happy with the 1d mark lll, ISO is great if the light is to low for your settings it will up you ISO setting which is a great idea saves a lot of bother !cheers.

 2.
I use a canon 5d and it is a lovely camera you will be well pleased with it mind you if you can afford it a 5d mark ll only if the 21 pixcels are needed and HD movie if not get the 5d you will get sharp and detailed photos what more do you want !cheers.

 3.
I use a model makes vacuum cleaner the have two speeds and a light in the front they work off the pc usb i always use it and for about 8 years now with no problem i have seen them on sale on ebay they are under £9 thet are about 4" long and it works ! cheers.

 4.
I thougth the same as you Paul but i was not bothered about the movie feature on the 5d ll so i bought a canon 1d mark lll in any case i have a 5d ,the 1d is a lovely camera takes sharp photo in JPEG which i was very suprised about colours are natural , i aways take raw with the 5d ,the JPEG are superb from the 1d i l love it ,got to get down to the nature reserve to try the 10 frames per second as i love nature shots and in raw 30 frames a second also what i like about the 1d and that is if your speed is to fast for the shot in a overcast day it ups the ISO to allow you to take the shot at your chosen settings saves a lot of bother !i am very happy with it,got my camera from trade cameras limated that is in the UK ! for £2,419.98 shop about !cheers.

 5.
I cleaned miine with a vacuum cleaner for about five years on my 10d and then 5d its not a joke the vavuum cleaner is a model vacuum cleaner the fit in the compter USB and are about 4 inches long with a light at the front and it has two suction speeds,i have given this cleaning tip to many photographers i do not know if they use this little vacuum cleaner but i cant see blowing the dust around inside the camera makes sence i would sooner suck it out and after five years i know it works ,i have seen them for sale on ebay and very cheap.

 6.
I found this site about custom functions on you tube, the photographer explains the settings that he chose and why very easy he go through each one it is very good for the 1DS mark lll owners, the site is -
www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGYNidLEk31&eurl=http
i have a Canon 1D mark lll on order and i would be interested what custom settings setting nature photographers use on there 1d,s when taking bird shots in flight not just for me but other photographers who is learning with this camera ! thank you in advance.

 7.
I had a stroke in 1999 and could not get about very well so i did a web site to show what a photographer could do just taking photos at his or her home ! i will give you my site but it was not long after getting my first digital camera when i made it i have learnt a lot since then
www.myhomeandgardenindigital.me.uk all these photos was taken at my home only !
i get around more now thank goodness .

 8.
I would say the 300mm f4 plus a 1.4 extender but not using the tripod as you have a IS on the lens ! and i use a canon 5d 12 mp camera so i also crop the image which works and on the 21 mp 5d ll it will be better still ,hand holding the 300mm is not difficult and i have a bad right hand owing to a stroke ! some photographers use 400 mm but it has not got a IS! on it ! cheers.
