I have many books with photos of camp life and battles and none of them gives the feeling of being there like this one. Very thoughtful to show ladies and their children who followed their soldiers and took care of the family. I like this very, very much.I would get rid of the automobile on the upper right. Nice grain and lighting. Lets see more. Very pleased, Bob Giles

  5.
I usually buy a donor (parts camera) same model as mine and get all the parts that I need for now and in the future. Most of the time its quicker and cheaper. Good luck.

  6.
I believe the corvette is a 1958, the 1954 had only 2 headlights. I also lean to maybe 1960. Can't bet on either, but I wish I had one like it ,only a different color, midnight blue?

  7.
I have book 1 and book 2 of Tomosy and he does not cover Canon lens maintenance or repair. I am wanting to fix this lens and the Canon FT that is locking up every other shot and then clean the viewfinder and CLA the rascal. I'm 72 and have a steady hand and time on my side, I hope. Any advice or point me to more suitable instruction materials. Any help is welcome.

  8.
Jeff, you were exactly right on it. I wondered what that tab was for. Really a great feature. Thanks to all for your help and suggestions.

  9.
I hope this is a easy adjustment, but, I am asking for help or advice in fixing the film door on this Canon ft. It just won't latch, is it in need of oil or bending slightly? I'm determined in not destroying another camera. All of you have been there I'm sure. It isn't sprung or twisted .

  10.
I am on it, I'm bidding now. Thanks for a fresh view as to fixing the fix that I'm in. This camera has both spool and canister. Hopefully, I can post some photos from my little corner of the world soon.

  11.
I have owned this contaflex 1 for 30 years and opened it up to look it over, maybe take it for a walk. No spool. Does anyone know a source for these spools?

  12.
Hi, I have been to the Ohio camera club monthly sale in Cincinatti Ohio and the following month they have one in Indianapolis In. Good selection good dealers

  13.
I think I received some great advice and bought another camera, actually (3) Yashica D, Yashica mat, and Yashica 635 all on the way through USPS. All of the cameras have 14 day return priviledges and none are over $40.00 I was really surprised, it must be spring break. Lots of thanks to all. Maybe I won't have to work on that old junker after all and it didn't snow. But, the Kentucky Wildcats lost. Next year.

  14.
This old model D is in bad need of a Yashikor 1:3.5 f=80mm taking lens and complete focus knob and of course, any advice anyone has other than, don't do it. It is supposed to snow this weekend in beautiful Kentucky and I don't want to get out in the cold. Too old and too smart. Anyhow, I am not begging for donations of parts, but I can't find a parts camera under $40.00 and I am not a rich fool. Any ideas will be much appreciated. This old girl has been laying around too long.
I enjoy the forum and look forward to all participants and their posts. If there is a repair shop or parts house that I might get in touch with, then I thank you for the info. Also, there is a screw missing in the flash mount. The leather cover is almost gone and I ordered a new tan replacement. I hope it looks good. This will be a keeper. I will send pictures when I'm finished. I'll bet all of you guys have a camera that needs restoring. Have at it. If I have any parts that you need, let me know and I 'll look in my parts.

Congrats, this is a wonderful model, the pose and lighting is spot on. It is so unbelievable that such beauty isn't plagued with tattoos and so malnourished you wonder if they ever eat a meal. I'm really impressed.

    Autumn in Poland

This is probably the best use of light and shadows I have ever seen in many years.
  17.
Hi David, I would like to have the Minolta MD 50mm/1.7 lens.

  18.
I bought a mint, never used A-1 WOW a couple of years ago and put it on the shelf with other Canons equally in pristine condition. Last year my daughter asked if she could use one of my cameras as her interest in photography was changing from digital. I sent this A-1 to a repairman and 5 days I got it back with a note and my check. The camera had been wet and the board was ruined and the cost would be prohibitive to repair. I bought another one from KEH and received a warranty and a beautiful camera to present to my daughter. I trust KEH.
What would the cost be to replace this board with a used part? Anyone have this problem?
