thanks for the posts guys... i will include a back pic of the camera asap.... as for the shutter, i depressed the lever to snap a picture and the shutter just broke... i took the lens/ shutter apart to try to see if there was a spring or something that snapped but was way out of my league an just put it back together.... the shutter "leaves" i don't know what they are called-- can be separated by hand but not with the shutter lever... at this point i don't know what is wrong.... as for the back of the camera... your guess is as good as mine...

i recently got this camera from my dad.... it was sitting in his attic unused. from the research i have done, it was using during the post war era as a portrait camera. the Lens was working fine when i received it and the the shutter broke after an attempt to use the camera... (the parts are old and uncared for)... other than the lens, the camera is in great working condition with no apparent light leaks... i am in need of help on finding a lens to fit this style camera. i will enclose some pics to help you out... i am looking to use it more for fun and to learn with and maybe someday get a new model.... as for now, i'm just looking for some glass to put on the end.... thank you.

I have a Lexar 2GB 80X WA professional CF card that i was using in my 350D. I got and ERR 0 message
out of the blue and now i am unable to load the card into either of my cameras (350D and 40D) to reformat them. If I
try to reformat in the 40D the camera tells me it is unable to reformat. I do have a CF card reader for the PC
however, the computer is not able to recognize the card in the drive at all. I am in need of some tech.
assistance..... PLEASE HELP.... i hope i'm not SOL...... :( thanks
