<p>Tina, I have a friend that told me it took her over 2 years to get her wedding album and/or pictures from her wedding. I don't know all of the full details, but persistence paid off even though it was very frustrating for her.</p>

<p>thanks for starting this thread. this is one of the places I come to on a regular basis though I may not post all that often. when I am in a group setting I have told other photographers about this forum. There are SO many great contributors to this forum and Nadine does such a great job of moderating. More than anything I come here to read more about topics that I think are interesting in regard to wedding photography since that is what I have been focused on for over the past 3 years, sometimes even just reading about the situations and dilemmas other people bring to the forum has helped me in the way I feel about operating my business and avoiding such scenarios.</p>

<p>All good info here, I was going to also add that if I go to the restroom, the camera goes with me in the stall, sure it's tricky stuff, but you can never be too careful, of course if you have an assistant then you probably would hand it off to them while you take care of business.</p>

<p>I have come to love my smugmug site, they are always improving it which is great. It is very functional, easy for people to use, unlimited storage. I would say visit the sites and read the features they offer to see if they have what you want at a price you are willing to pay. I will say I am glad I didn't go the route of paying close to $100 a month.</p>

<p>for fireworks shots, the lenses you have will do just fine, I can say this with confidence because I have done it with the same camera body and the wide lens. the flash I have and use is the HVL-F58AM, it has all the features you could want</p>

<p>another thing I would highly suggest is trying out the back button focus, once I learned how to do this then I was getting what I wanted in focus to be the sharpest part of the image, before I learned how to do this, I was ready to give up on my Canon camera. I have all of my canons set up with this feature now.</p>

<p>Gary, have you even practiced shooting video with these cameras yet? Focusing is not as easy as a dedicated camcorder or video camera.</p>

<p>I took a peek at the image you linked to and I feel there are parts of your image that are in focus but not the intended subject. How are you focusing on your subject?</p>

<p>If you put the effort into the photos, you may change your mind about sharing the images. I know I had some shoots that I wasn't sure ahead of time what I would get, but I put a LOT of effort into photography because it was my job and even if it seemed like there wasn't an opportunity to get the wow images, you can look at the images and get a completely different perception of the wedding and what took place by the images that resulted from the shoot. I hope that helps. I think every wedding deserves the same attention.</p>

<p>I have lumapix fotofusion and I love it. There are some tutorials that should get you up and running quickly. Also it is great if you design an album you love, you can save it as a template for future use which can come in handy for creating your own style. I also use it for creating collages quickly.</p>

<p>I normally look for a seat if there is one nearby that is empty or kneel in front of the crowd if everyone is seated. It certainly depends on the layout of the room.</p>

<p>I have never taken 4000 photos at one wedding, normally about 1500 tops, so I would say you certainly took a LOT. Glad to hear it went so well for you.</p>

<p>I would not use a lower camera angle, I would use a higher camera angle if you must shoot them in the church. If it were me, I would use a more open aperture to blur the background if possible with your equipment.</p>

<p>if it were me, I would keep my opinions and comments to myself, they hired who they wanted to shoot their wedding and they are likely content with what they got.</p>

<p>it would seem based on the lenses you say you are using, you would find benefit from the wider lens. I have this same lens (tamron 17-50) and I would say it is used for 90%+ of the images I take with this particular camera (mine is canon).</p>

<p>Adorama will give you a much higher quality book than blurb, it is printed 100% on real photo paper including the cover. I am sure you will like it.</p>

<p>I recently bought a Pelican case 1610 with dividers, I currently have 5 camera bodies in there with probably more lenses than you listed since I know I have more lenses than bodies. With that said, you might be able to get by with a smaller case. I wouldn't put anything in the case or bag that you wouldn't want all over your equipment, like pills or powders or liquids, etc. I still carry a backpack type bag if I think I will be going to areas where my rolling case might not travel well to.</p>
