First time out with my 10D to photograph some fast action.
-
Very nice pic, I spent some time in the Teton's 2 years ago, but my barn shots did not turn out so great, not enough clouds, and I was too lazy to get up at the golden hour.
I guess even Nikon's can take good pictures!! LOL!!
-
I'll have to try that. I just started using the 10D, and have a whole bunch to learn about workflow, and the seperate workflow for printing. I also need to replace my cheap HP printer.
-
Actually it is something called Posterized Edges in PS, I discovered it by accident just fooling around. I have not made any prints yet though.
-
I was fooling around in PS Elements and came up with this. Comments
or suggestions??

Excellent panning, great focus. The official or crew member at the bottom however detracts from the image.
-
This is just too blurry. Panning takes a lot of practice, and you have to take the good with the bad. Just keep shooting!!
-
Nice panning shot. Too bad GM failed so miserably at LeMans with this car.
-
This is a much nicer shot, since the clouds broke a little. Unfortunately the planes are a little fuzzy. As I said in the other critique you need the big, exspensive glass to get close, and sharp pictures.
-
Not a bad shot. Too bad about the heavy overcast. Grey skys really suck for airshows. I would have liked to see the planes a little bigger. Unfortunately for airshows you need big, and exspensive glass to get close shots of the performers.
-
Nice shot. It looks like you had a grey sky when you took this. I think it would pop more with better light. I like photos like this because it gives me more ideas when I go to the races.
-
Very nice, I like the camera right on the ground. The heat waves also look cool.
-
A little fuzzy, but a great capture of a unique moment. I have seen this many times over the years at airshows, but have never gotten a decent shot.
-
Another great shot. Excellent DOF. Timing was perfect.
-
This looks great. The angle really makes it look like this is air to air. Way to keep the shutter speed low also so the prop didn't stop.
-
Not bad at all considering the damn fence you had to shoot through. Also got to love those idiots who stand up as you take a photo.

I really like this kind of close up stuff. It almost appears like it was taken in some kind of haze though.
-
It still looks close to me. You must have had very shallow depth of field. Usually when the cars are this close the one behind will be mostly in focus.
-
This is kick ass!! Focus is dead on and the pan is perfect. The only thing wrong is the damn Wisconsin cloud cover!!
-
Excellent pan. I like the angle a lot too.
-
Great shot, only nit is the stopped prop. There is nothing that detracts more from an inflight shot, than too fast of a shutter speed that stops the prop dead in its tracks.
-
Very nice, I only wish for a little fuel out of the headers. Since you can't see the rear slick, you get no sense of motion. The colors are killer though.
I would beg, borrow, or steal to get a chance to shoot on the starting line at a national event!!
