I love the wind swept look of the tree and the light behind it.

As you can see the verticals are not quite straight. I shot this
handheld with a 28mm lens. If nothing else, I think that this photo
demonstrates the large tonal range that can be captured with Ilford
Xp2.

Intersting building. Your photo has great color and good composition. It is about as tightly cropped as it could be.
-
When "street" shooting in crowded situations, it can be difficult not to cut someone in half. You probably could remove the man on the left though by cropping out the body and cloning out the rest of the arm.
-
Shot just as the sun was rising over the canyon.

As long as there is no sky in the composition. Overcast skys look horrible IMHO.

and the composition.

Great picture and I like the light. I agree that all horizons do not have to be level though if the horizon is over water, I think it looks more natural.

The tree is alive even though it does not look too healthy.

I believe the image was shot mid afternoon. I am aware that this reduce fine detail. However shooting in Canyons later in the day can also present problems as the walls of the Canyon result in very large shadows and images beyond the exposure range of film or digital. In this case shooting later was not an option and the Sigma 14 will not take a polarizer.

I didn't use a filter. The image was captured very early in the day.

Lower Antelope Canyon has been photographed many times. I was their
recently and this was my favorite image. I have several others in th
same folder. Please critique rate this one and any others in the
forum that interest you.

Very nice colors

I found the tree distracting. It is a rather ugly tree. Otherwise it is a nice beach shot.

This was shot in from above and converted to B&W. The neon sign was
converted back to color.

I like candid portraits myself. The grain doesn't matter. The lighting and color are great. If you want to reproduce this effect in other photos try Photoshop.
-
I would crop off the top of the picture so the waterfalls go all the way to the top.
-
I am also a man and also like it. It is one of the most orginal nudes I have seen. I like the way the curves of the water blend with the curves of the model.
-
I like it better as well. Thanks for the suggestion.

Did not increase sharpness. The rock seems sharp enough. The lens was
focused on the rock and was wide open at F4.0 so the water may be
slightly out of focus. However I feel motion blur accounts for any
lack of sharpness there.
I don't know if increasing the shutter speed and removing the motion
blur would have resulted in a better image. It would have meant going
to ISO 800 on the camera though which I didn't want to do. Slower
would have produced a more conventional waterfall shot like
the "Cobbs Mill Inn" which I posted yesterday. I like the gradual
increase in motion blur from the top to bottom of the picture though.
I may reshoot with a slower shutter when I get a tripod ring for the
lens.
Please compare with the previous version.
Thank you for you time and thank you to those who commented on the
previous version.

It certainly caught my attention. The lighting seems a little harsh though, on camera flash? It is perhaps not the most flattering portrait that lady has ever had taken.
