If you did not send a delivery memo to your friend around the time the picture was taken, stating the usage terms of the image,
AND you did get the image copyrighted before the usage, then your friend is not legally in the wrong.

Hi Barbara,
You can try this:
Go to photoshop preferences - change your image interpolation to "bicubic smoother." If that doesn't work , rescan.

Hey Volkan,
Cool name, by the way. I went through this same ordeal when buying my last camera. There is a large grey market out there
for DSLRs & accessories. Actually most of the accessories I own are grey market. They are super cheap and work great.
You just need to know what you are doing. I personally wouldn't buy a grey market camera body for the following reasons.
a) they often substitute cheaper materials
b) the quality control isn't as good
c) the company of the product you are buying will not warranty or give you any customer service for that product.
I hope this clears things up.

If you're just going to get one thing I would get an umbrella. If feathered correctly, you could bounce it off your background and
rim your subject.

Hey Andy,
I don't work for a paper or anything, but I just wanted to say that I like your work. I want to give you credit for putting yourself
out there. That's 90% of it. Keep it up and I am sure you will find your bliss!

Hi Photo.net
I aspire to be a Wedding Photographer full time, and it looks like my first gig may have just fallen in my lap. Guess what? I am freaking out! I
am on a Nikon D300 system and I am not sure if I have the equipment to pull it off. For lenses, I have an 18-200mm but I am pretty sure I need
to rent at least one lens ( 17-55mm f/2.8) to get clearer pics in the normal range. I have an 80-200mm f/2.8 for telephoto. Now what I am
concerned about is lighting. Will my SB 800 with extra batteries be enough? What else would I need in lenses or lighting to pull this off?
The location: The event will take place from the late afternoon till about sunset. It will taking place mainly on a boat.
What would you all bring?
What you all bring on a budget if you didn't get to have any assistants?

I just joined this community and I would just be so grateful for any answers to my query. Thanks

Hi David,
It seems that you have plenty of advice on this already, but I'll still add my two cents:
I have been in your position before. It's not fun. It is important to undertsand WHY they want the RAW images so badly.
Maybe they think they can get larger prints from them. If that's not the issue, and then your rep is at stake here and I would
hand them over with a thorough delivery memo (stating the usage).
How do your bee's work for you?

Alien Bee's and White lightning's are basically the same light but one is in hard plastic and the other is in aircraft aluminum. If
you want decent lights for little money, you can't do any better. I have never heard about color temp problems. That sounds
like a defective unit to me. Go to their website and contact them. I am sure they have a return policy if you are not satisfied
with the product.
