Photography is a medium of expression that uses light, and is displayed in two-dimensions.

Ot-lites are pretty good. They don't have a bias. You can get them at lamp plus online. Anything that's a broad spectrum light.
You can get a cheap ot light for like $40. The bulbs last forever.

If you really want to experiment with the effects of different apertures on sharpness, just shoot a ruler or yard stick going off into
the distance, with both your camera and the ruler in a fixed position. This way it will be easy to see what is going on where.

I am going to be giving private photography lessons to a beginner. What should I charge for that? What should I charge for private photoshop
lessons?

I was wondering if it would be possible to make a miniature view camera with all the movements and tiny bellows with a FX sensor back? Do
you think it would work?

I currently own an IMAC intel 20" and love it! I would get the 30" screen if I could afford it (and get rid of my tv). It's really nice
to be able to multi task in several windows. Also get the spyder 3 pro.

I like the color cast and sharpness of B, but I think the ripples flow better in A.

Wow, thanks
Shun! I've been going into the menu to do that this whole time.

You could also purchase one of those gorilla tripods. They're tiny and will fit in a backpack. Just in case you want to get a
group shot with yourself in it.

The icc profile simply corresponds to the paper you are using. If you follow the instructions from the epson site you shouldn't
have any difficulties.

RRS makes (arguably) the best release plates, mainly because each one is made custom for each camera body to maximize
surface area contact.

Hi,
I was about to buy some alien bees but then realized that a lot of the stuff that I plan to do is going to be outside on location, and they don't
seem amenable to that with that HUGE battery back. Does anyone know if there are any other good reasonably priced brands out there that
are fairly portable and that put out good power. Thanx!

The SB800 has a Modeling light.

Somebody just asked this same question yesterday.

Yes. All nikon af lenses.

Hi all,
I am a recent D300 owner and I have a question about the in camera noise reduction settings (especially for high iso's). Do they only take
effect
when using Nikon Capture as a RAW converter?
-
First of all, you can buy a MINT 18-200mm on ebay for $550. Also when you buy the 18-200 you can sell your lens to help pay
for it so it will really cost you like $450. I own one and they are great, especially for beginners, who are need the flexibility of
such a wide range to experiment. Also it has such a close focusing distance, you can sort of use it as a macro as well. If I
were you I would save up and buy one. But don't feel limited by your gear! Remember, you can make a masterpiece with a
disposable.

Circular polarizers have nothing to do with digital. They have to do with auto focus.
-
You might want to start out with a larger softbox for your fill. This will give you a smoother shadow transfer edge.

18 isn't too young to start a professional career as a photographer. If you are serious, see if you can get a job assisting
someone. You will be well on your way to making your dream a reality! Good luck.

Have you tried running these through the Nikon RAW converter?
-
Well, judging by your experience level a crude way of white balancing this shot in photoshop would be to use the white
eyedropper curves tool. Click it on a neutral area of the white dress.
-
When they say that, I simply say, "oh sorry, I don't do that."
How do I recreate this effect?
