  1. Thank you for your ratings and comments.

I am still working on capturing images in the sun glasses. It is yet hit and miss for me. I try to look into her face through the camera with the reflections I want showing in her glasses and try to be sure not to overexpose. I may go to the forum here and ask the question myself.

    Young Girl

    Rajat:

I come to your site peridocially to view your work. I think I always come back to the Slumshots. The photo of the litte girl above is one of pure beauty, yet true sadness. The children of the Slums are in a life that none of us, here in the other world could imagine or live in. They make you want to just take them in your arms and hold them tight, keeping all evil away and happiness in.

I have been taking photos of the "Tenderloin" or slum area of San Francisco, which is no where near the Slums in India and other areas in the world. I have befriended man there and you may see their pictures on my workspace. I now have many friends there and there are happy to see me; why? I treat them as people, because they are. I hold them in my arms, regardless of how they look or smell, they are people and they need to be held. They are so starved for attention from those on the outside of their lives. They see me coming and many will scream out and come running, like children in a toy store.

I wish that some day I might see the slums there and weep at the sight of their plight.

    SHE LOOKS DOWN

I showed her the photos of her I captured. She had me take her camera and take pictures of her and her friends. She was soft spoken, very sweet voice. I offered my email to her so she could have some of the photos I had taken of her.

Thank you for your comments and consideration. They are very much appreciated.

She was standing on the sidewalk, next to the street watching some street dancers. Her beauty and grace captured me; I moved closer to her and started shooting trying to capture her elegance.

Thank you. I actually picked this photo over one of others that had very little shadowing of the eyes and more facial contrast as the shadowing appeared to give the photo, the girl, more suspense, letting here appear much softer giving her a more intimate feel. I uploaded of of the other photos which I did lighten the eyes a bit. Please see the difference. I may not have done it correctly so let me know what you think now.
