4.
I've finally gotten some new pictures, so I'm happy to kick this one off.
A spring garden:
1

 5.
Thanks, Harry, I'll look into it.

 6.
Thanks for the links, John. I'll be looking closely at the tolerated voltages. I haven't held a soldering iron since I was a teenager, so I don't think I'll try lowering the voltage on my Vivitars.

 7.
I've checked out both online but really don't know which might be better for Pentax. I have two Vivitar 283's and an AF 540FGZ.
Any suggestions? Will the Vivitars fry the Yongnuos?

 8.
Doug - it was 1600g

 9.
Just compared weights of the Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 and the Pentax 70-200 f/2.8 (from specs). One is 40.6 oz/1151g and the other is 61.76oz//1755g. I think my Tamron is heavy! Another 2 lbs (almost a kilo) and I wouldn't have to worry about weight exercises.
Canon 50.6 oz, Nikon 70-200mm 54.4 oz, Pentax 61.6 oz. What do you think?

 14.
Well, it's still Sunday night. Hopefully I will be contributing more as winter slowly recedes. These were taken as an experiment to see what worked in Black and White:
1.

 15.
You should also check out Yongnuo flashes and radio triggers. Their most expensive flash also has an internal transmitter/receiver so a separate trigger is not necessary. the receiver.triggers are not expensive nor is the above-mentioned flash, relative to an AF360 or 540. You have to use the Nikon models, not the Canon models in order to have them work on Pentax. Cowboy also makes inexpensive triggers and they don't seem to me camera specific.
I have only just bought an inexpensive studio setup - bulb holders, umbrellas, light stands, background stand and backgrounds. Buy the better backgrounds - the ones I got are too small and translucent when opened fully.

 16.
I would love to go back. With any luck...

 19.
Doug, Having gone to Barcelona many years ago and not being able to to inside the Sagrada Familia due to construction, I'm really enjoying your photos. I had to wait to see my shots of Barcelona until I got back because those were the days of film. Keep posting more - very enjoyable. I think I know what my travel kit will be K-* Right now K-5, the 55-300 and the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8. If it were lighter, I would consider my Tamron 10-24 But I can't see carrying all of that all day. The kit 18-55 might do.

Here are three of the few pictures I've taken this month:
#1

 20.
Many mixed emotions here: Relief that I got the Tamron 70-200 at $800, sad that I couldn't add another Pentax lens to my kit. Maybe I'll be able to afford the FF body. But, more and more I feel that I have a Tamron system with Pentax bodies even though Tamron has abandoned Pentax.

This lens is a star lens, it is likely to be expected to optical performance.
That lens for full-size is released, it might have appeared within not too far a full size of the body. "

FA means it will work w/ FF, too! Figures, I just bought the Tamron. Hmmm... maybe that's why the price was reduced...

 23.
Doug - Thanks - your shot s of the wolves are intriguing; the color on the woodpecker amazing.
Matt - You're right, I'll work on it. Your 1st 3 shots are surreal/unreal - great catches
Yuri - Deep fryer has interesting elements
Harry - That is a gravel maker. The tall structures are really strong with the sky background, as is the monument.
Duane - great portraits - the woman has a great face and doze guys!
Dorus - Typical - your renovation shot looks like MoMA (Museum of Modern Art - NYC) exhibition; 2. You're not the only one with the eye in your family.
