1.
There was a thread about the use of over use of water. I think thats what is the basic arguement here. If you don't stop your film you are using more water than you would if you stopped your film. I use stop. Saves me wasting fix which is water soluable. This could go on for years. Use what you think you need and MERRY CHRISTMAS

 2.
Using film now is more for the serious amatueres than for prople that want pics of their snotty nosed brats. The reason alot of people switch over to digital was because they were not serious photographers like us. The past year I have boughten over 50 different things from an auction place. THAT is why I love digital. When else could I afford some of the things that people are dunping because the think they are going obsolete ? It has kind of leveled off because people just thought that it was film processing was the reason they were getting lousy pictures and now they are reaslizing it was realy them that was the problem. Like a few others I am so loaded down with film equipment that I have pretty well all the lenes, power winders, bodies, etc that will do me for the rest of my life.

 3.
I had my A1 CLA'd in July of this year and I had the same problem when I had it out in the cold and it only shot a few pics before it wouldn't work. I checked the battery on my tester and it was up were it should be. I Think the camera is just like me.(it HATES cold weather). Carry 2 batteres and keep one really close to keep it warm then exchange when it locks up.
