I purchased this Retina Reflex S around 2 1/2 years ago and had a CLA done by Essex Camera Repair in August 2011. I cannot believe it has taken me this long to run some film through it. So this past weekend I loaded it with some Kodak ProFoto XL 100 and took it for an outing.

The MB-21 takes 6 batteries. 3 in the side handle and 3 in
the base.

I have also seen this in one of my Rolleiflex. Mine was also caused by a screw up by the back hinge. In my case it was loose and needed to be tightened.

Nikon still sells a AIS version of that manual focus lens.
You may want to contact them, they may have the part in
stock.

It's got a shoe mounted light meter also.

Rob, the Minolta model number is probably under the shoe
mounted light meter you could not slip off. I agree with
Andy L, most likely a Minolta-35.

I was in Krimar Photo yesterday. Krikor has some Rolleiflexes for sale also.

Rick, Wow! That 50/1.9 lens produces some nice crisp
images. The OOF areas are very pleasing to my eye also. I
also like the tonal range of these shots, I need to get some
rolls of Arista EDU 100.

I am glad I missed the caves and caverns era. My car could do without any bumper stickrers. Thanks for the nostalgic trip down memory lane.

Rick, thanks. I am glad I stopped by the site and had a
camera. There are a lot more buildings there. The county
has Sheriff's Officers patrol the grounds and they really do
not want people about. The property is posted with no
trespassing signs. Though I was there for quite some time
and saw no law enforcement.
Gene, thanks for looking.
Chuck, the firehouse and the land around it were
purchased by a developer. There were 4 other large
buildings on that tract of land that have been demolished. I
also hope the firehouse does not share their fate.
Michael, I use the Neopan SS to test my old camera
purchases. I was getting it for about $2 a roll. It was great
for that purpose. I have never shot Acros 100 in 135 format
so I really can't compare.

Thanks Louis. I think these Rollei 35s
have a cult following.
Walter, I live in West Orange and was
raised in Bloomfield. The Branch Brook
Park Cherry Blossoms are better then
ever. I have been by the Rose garden
in Glen Ridge at Maolis and Hawthorne
but it was out of season. I plan on
visiting this Summer

Next up was a visit to a county park in the neighboring town. I like to walk around the path which runs around the lake in Verona Park.
