  11. Tony & Lacey, Your comments are greatly appreciated. Check out Space Weather Live's 3-day aurora forecast = https://www.spaceweatherlive.com/en/auroral-activity/aurora-forecast or NOAA's 27-DAY OUTLOOK OF 10.7 CM RADIO FLUX AND GEOMAGNETIC INDICES = https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/products/27-day-outlook-107-cm-radio-flux-and-geomagnetic-indices for help in planning an aurora event. Kp4 -6 is usually a guarantee of visual and strong activity. These are just forecasts and estimates, but the Kp can spike or drop at any time. Read the data and you'll be happier that you did. Good luck with your next aurora adventure! Thanks again, Jane

    Matanuska River Delta

Knik means "fire" in the Denaʼina Athabaskan language. Migratory waterfowl are faintly visible in this evening sky above Palmer Hay Flats, a marshy wetlands adjacent to Knik Arm, & the head of Cook Inlet, where both the Matanuska and Knik rivers empty.
