I like this shot a lot. Too bad you couldn't have captured the detail of the tree tho, rather than having it black. Other than that it's a good shot. Congrats. BTW, did you use a Grad ND? Looks as if you did.
Lastly, Good to stumble upon another fellow Canadian Photographer.

Very nice. Good colors, and interesting clouds. I especially like the tree in the middle of the small island to the center of the scene. But I would have liked to have seen all of the bush at the bottom of the picture that you have cut off.
P.S. You could have tried using a longer exposure time so that the vegetation would all be blurred, would give you interesting shot.

The second I saw this it caught my attention. You have composed this very nicely. It reminds me of all those winter hikes through the woods when you just round a corner and this absolutely stunning mountain pops out at you. This fresh snowfall really puts the icing on the cake. Good job.

This shot is very well captured. I really like how you have used the two trees as a framing around the building. The autumn colors really capture your attention, the the nice soft blue sky is really nice. You made sure it was in the later part of the afternoon which really works here as it gives you good shadows and strikes the side of the building nicely. Good job.

Thanks Ryan for the detailed critique/comment. Very useful. I'm thinking I may revisit this spot again sometime this winter. My plan is to go early in the morning after an icy cold night to capture the leave less tree full of ice. I'll try to use your advice and show where the tree is rooted.

I got home from school the other day and the sun was just setting. So
the second i got in my house I ran around and got my gear put it in my
pack, thought of this river and knew that their was a trail following
it all the way to a falls. I never got a chance to get to the falls
because it's about a 30 minute walk, and the sun was almost set. I
managed to catch this shot. Quite pleased for a rush job. Critiques
and Comments are very desired.
Thanks in advance,
Chris.

Amazing place. The colors really capture your attention, and then the mountains receive your interest as they are uniquely shaped. Great show. It is really quite beautiful.
