I see what you are saying Rich. I can always crop it for the preference of whoever might want to buy it.
I was driving through this area, not expecting to see much of a sunset because it had been raining the whole day and of course grey sky's. But I was wrong and the sun found its way through the clouds and gave quite a dramatic sky. :-) So I stopped by this trussel bridge and hunted around for a good shot. I didn't want to pass up the sunset and their wasn't any place on the over side of the trussel where I could have captured the sun and trussel more together, due to the banks of the river and fairly thick bush all the way to the very edge.
Also this piece was actually captured with the purpose of it published in a tourist book for this local area.
Thanks for the comment Rich, I always enjoy feedback weather it be good/bad/constructive/etc.

Looking for some feedback. This was my first attempt at this type of
shot. I've never done any like this before.
Thanks,
Chris.

Looking for some feedback. I was on a hike with my friends and this
was one of the shots I took that I liked. I didn't take much time to
compose the shot or anything. I was walking and liked the shadows so I
turned around when I got past these trees and took about 1 minute to
take the shot.
Comments and Critiques would be highly highly appreciated!
Thanks,
Chris.

I was really impressed by the turn out of this shot. Considering I was
using a 50mm.
Looking for some feedback on it.

I'm really pleased with how this shot turned out. I was hiking this
morning. I might add it was BITTER COLD. I took a few shots, not a
lot, but a few. This is one of the few I like.
I don't usually take bird pictures but I was having a fire and I saw
this, and took the opportunity. :-)
Tell me what you think.

I was aiming for a completely different arrangement for this picture
but I came out with this after playing with different angles and
different arrangements of the roses. I am very pleased with it.
Comments and Critiques greatly appreciated,
Chris.

Hey Micheal,
Thanks for the comment on my portfolio. Glad to have come across someone that lives close by. :-) In comparison to most people on here anyway. You mention Carbonear, that happens to be where I was born, But we've moved around a lot since then.
Anyway about the photography. I love this picture. The snow covered trees are what initially draw your attention, makes it stand out. You have this little brook/stream which really leads your eye through the picture and brings your attention to the RED tractor. I would have liked to have seen the brook in a non-frozen state, I think it would have improved the picture even more. But you couldn't really do much about that could you?
Sincerely,
Chris.

Critiques and Comments are greatly appreciated. More so than ratings.
I hope you can see why I named it "The Burden" from the picture. I
gave it this name because this was in the night after we had been hit
by a major snow storm and all the tree's were covered in snow and
weighed down by it.
Thanks in advance,
Chris.

Thanks for the comment and the rating Mike :-)
I honestly didn't expect a good rating on this one, I was just out shooting and turned around and saw the light pole, figured I'd give it a go.

Hey Richard,
Thanks for the comment on one of my winter shots. This is my first time venturing into this folder of your portfolio, and I'm glad I did finally venture into it. :-) Some amazing shots. This one being my favorite out of them. I just love how the sun is shining through the tree and the composition of this shot. Great job.
Chris.
