ricardovaste 0 Posted April 20, 2009 Great shot Chris - the lighting is great. I really like the colours too, they're vibrant yet feel quite natural too. The composition feels quite balanced virtically, but it still makes me slightly unsure of the focal point. It's obviously a shot of the bridge, but the sun is fighting for attension too. There is a lot going on in this scene, maybe trying a less complicated composition would be more effective? (eg the bridge & it's reflection). It's a little late here, so i'll head off now. But I haven't looked around your shots for a while now so I'll come back and comment soon! Rich Link to comment
chris_rowe1 0 Posted April 21, 2009 I see what you are saying Rich. I can always crop it for the preference of whoever might want to buy it. I was driving through this area, not expecting to see much of a sunset because it had been raining the whole day and of course grey sky's. But I was wrong and the sun found its way through the clouds and gave quite a dramatic sky. :-) So I stopped by this trussel bridge and hunted around for a good shot. I didn't want to pass up the sunset and their wasn't any place on the over side of the trussel where I could have captured the sun and trussel more together, due to the banks of the river and fairly thick bush all the way to the very edge. Also this piece was actually captured with the purpose of it published in a tourist book for this local area. Thanks for the comment Rich, I always enjoy feedback weather it be good/bad/constructive/etc. Chris. Link to comment
