I like the square format, shapes, no color. Really works for me. There is a little circular banding in the sky that is distracting to me. Love to see this in a big print. Really superb.

    Cardinal taking flight

This is a good capture. A split second as the bird is taking flight. I like the warm colors The series, I imagine, would more shots of robins similar to this one, or other birds in the stages of flight, for example, that we are not used to seeing. Easier said than done. Has this been cropped? I kinda want to see more of the are around the bird. The shapes and contrasts are interesting. Thanks for sharing!!
  5.
I find it hard to believe that the modern digital dslr's cannot be configured to use the focus indicator of the autofocus system while being used in manual focussing. I mean...REALLY!

    Untitled

I like this shot. Decay is a subject I am intrigued with. I saw an exhibition a few years ago that incorporated macro lenses and came in very close to the pitting and discolouration of the paint of old cars. The shots looked like colourful galaxies. Truly stunning. You may have fun experimenting with this...Good effort!

    Enough of that

I like this shot. The reverse vignette is not my favorite, but I think it works for this one. If she was looking at the camera, however, I think you would knock it out of the park. Keeping the 3/4 profile and the eyes at the camera, WOW!
  8. This a good one. Composition is spot on. I would brighten the image a little and darken the outer portion of the edges at bit to help the eye find her face a little sooner. I find the eye wanders. Great effort!

    DSC09300

Cool shot. I can only imagine what you had to go through to get it (swaying boat). I would tweak the exposure a bit and brighten it up a tad. And if you do this kind of thing, straighten the horizon. I think the impact of the image would be stronger. Great effort!

    Untitiled

A cool shot. I would love to see it from a lower angle so the leaves of the tree are within the white part of the painted wall closer to the rule of thirds. Good effort!

I like this one a lot. I found myself trying to move the boat around and create more symmetry as part of the critique...but in the end it is a shot that I could look again, and again and see something new each time. Great effort!

    Sweet dreams

Love this one a lot. If there was a way to just tweak the angle a bit to have her equally in between the windows that would be the icing on a very good cake. Love to know the story behind this shot. Thanks!

    Desierto de los Leones

Great shot here. I would only suggest a rule of thirds and show a little more of the trees, or a little more of the forest floor. Trunk in the center stays and is great. Great effort.

Nice one here. I would like to see a little more green in the shot. A slight pan to the right may balance it out a touch. Great effort.

    Cloud art 2

Really great one here. The shades, tones and detail all quite lovely. I much as I hate to say the "c" word.. the dark space above the clouds "cropped" out would bring the ground into balance visually with the clouds. Great effort with what I assume is film and coloured filters.
