  1. Remember (for critical work) to use the lens adjustment in Canons DPP.
  2. The real cost of course is that after your first fast (prime) lens you'll want more lenses. Longer and fast. (-:

    dead windows

I like it. Nice mix of geometry and wavy forms. Great lines and color contrasts. The blue could be a tad darker but that's hard in an image like this with all the contrast. M.

    Untitled

I like the idea but would expect supersharpness in an image like this. (focus on one of the drops so I could lose myself in the reflections) The composition's good though I'd probably prefer it even more off center. Hope this helps, Matthijs.

    The Family.........

Great! Serene, elegant while still telling a story. It's almost too perfectly balanced in threes. But in this case that looks great. It might look good if you step even more back but I expect that you would get more mess in the frame which would detroy the story of the pervading emptiness. Thanks for sharing, Matthijs.

    Birthday Tulips #3

I like the dark, not sure about the grain though... This kind of pictures in my opinion need to be either very sharp or artistically grainy and this is in between. And I like the fact that they're tired / old. That fits with the darkness. And the off center composition is well done too! Though it feels somehow cramped, needing e little breathing room. Maybe a wider crop. Hope this helps, Matthijs.

That would have been great but I didn't. (half my family is afraid of heights and it was a family midweek...)
  10. Do you like it? And why? (or why not?)

Looks great! Feels upside down. Was the sun ultra low in the sky?   Great contrast and shades!

    Untitled-25

I like it a lot.   The tight crop is pleasing though it clipped the top of the valve. A slightly wider crop at the top might have been more pleasing.

Looks great, like a painting. Well seen and executed.   It migt be worth an experiment to crop the line from the bottom. Maybe that makes it even more powerful.
  17. Great, surreal. Looks almost like a composite but I think it's real.   Very well seen and executed.   I think you could crop a little from the left so the horse isn't dead center, but that's up to you.
