Thanks for the suggestions, Maria. One of the things I find most interesting in post-processing is that you can create very different looks from the same photo, while still retaining accuracy. I'll definitely give your suggestions at try! And I very much appreciate such positive comments.

Very eye-catching, and I think the lights add an interesting element to the image. Good work! Great image!

The detail on this photo is wonderful. Great job.

Museeb, this photo just doesn't 'grab' me -- it's doesn't pull me in to the picture. While the background might be interesting, it is mostly obscured by the trees in the foreground - and the trees in the foreground aren't very interesting. The sky appears washed out and lifeless. Perhaps given better lighting and a slight change in location, you might find a better perspective. Best of luck!

Nice attempt, Joe, but the detail seems lacking and I'm bothered by the inconsistency of color - particularly of the sky.

I just love the way that fireworks can give the impression of a flower. This image taken
at the Lakewood (Dallas) annual fireworks display near White Rock Lake. Critiques and
comments are welcome.

I'm sure some may think this portrait is to bright -- but I very much like the effect. Very nice, and it is great to see that you can pull this off without expensive studio lighting. Good job!

I think I would have cropped the right side which would remove the face in the background and given more emphasis to the primary subject. The background face is not prominent enough to add to the picture, but IMHO detracts somewhat. All-in-all, though a nice photo.
Forgotten Flower

I found this flower pressed between the pages of a book (dated 1845) owned by my
great-great grandfather. Why was it placed there? By whom? And why?
