-have endured a long and rather frustrating struggle trying to determine
exactly what to do with this shot. The sort of late 1960s faded magazine
colorization quality effect is intentional, and seems to have worked out
rather well. The dog, Chip, was one I was quite close with; so
admittedly, I have a certain biased affection toward this and longing for it
to be at its very best. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I do like this frame, with their highly contrasted expressions, on the right!

Wonderful capture of a great moment-one I'm certain that we've all witness but consistently missed-I might be inclined only to crop out the flower's leaves to simplify the statement-but I adore it just the same either way! Thanks!

... ?

-or 'Pappy', as he's more common known, NEVER stops, rarely rests,
never stands still, and never runs low on the energy to keep from doing
so-the only moments that occur where one can have any hope of
capturing some kind of portrait of his face, is if something else, and far
away, actually grabs his attention for a second, the result of which is
almost always this extremely intense stare of course?! ;-)

And for me, really something entirely new... (see the rest of my gallery,
won't you?:-)
-
-for a local club self-portrait project, a quick click at a groggy 4:00am... I
was pressured to post this here by my girlfriend-conceptually I guess I
do like it too-but I know there's an awful lot here which could stand to
improve,... you?

This is a great shot-the composition is right on, the tones all seem to be right, obviously you've a talented model here, all together it's just a real delight-I've really enjoyed what we've seen from you so far and anxiously await some more submissions of this type-thanks a lot!

... but I have been raving to friends all week about the exceptionally exquisite and expert quality of this capture, now I'm afraid I don't know just what to say-as I am primarily a 'pet' photographer myself, I understand exactly what kind of patience a shot like this might take (unless of course you just happen to have an extremely cooperative model), perhaps needless to say but I am very impressed by this and quite persistently captivated. Great work, can't wait to see some more like this, thanks!

-well,... the colorization tone isn't quite working, but I think that has more to do with some other distracting aspects going on here: the halves of dark and light almost seem to become too much, too imposing, and too contrasting; other smaller details like the door handle, the right edge of the door frame and juxtaposing line breaks of the deck outside, unfortunately, all keep drawing us away from your subject (and apparently patient and not so easily distracted model). How about a little bit closer, more intimate crop, and still keep a gentle color, but not so much as to lose all the tones and depth that's available in this one? (see attachment) Still, a fine start-let's see some more soon, and thank you!

I have to agree with my friend Liam here-obviously this was an irresistible shot, and not just for the railings of course, as indubitably, Minnie shows great promise as a model-but there is quite a lot of distraction going around her-the car, the tree, a lot of other lines competing against your tunneling effect... How about this one in B&W (see attachment)? Either way, I enjoyed it immensely-let's see some more-and many thanks to you, and Minnie too!

This is an absolutely fantastic shot! Incredibly original and expertly captured. I can see nothing here which would deem changing. Kudos to you, and thank you for sharing!

-thanks!

Kind of classically traditional portrait of one of my top models, i know,
but i just love his look of elation (quite different from the majority of my
captured canine moments), the bend and curl of his soiled and swollen
tongue, his striking pose and expectant eyes! I hope that you'll
appreciate as much as I do, please feel free to leave any thoughts, and
thank you in advance just for looking!

A quick candid click of my girl and Maya just after a nap on the sofa
together-I don't normally photograph people much at all, just came
across this in my archives recently-I like it alright, they have a deep and
unique connection, but it's also likely that I'm somewhat biased-it's
pretty certain there's a lot here which could be improved upon: crop,
composition, etc.-any comments, thoughts, advice, or suggestions?
Thanks!
-
... any clues?
-
I had originally put this one in just to add some color to my gallery-since
then it seems to have grabbed some attention-I never even took the time
to just crop it a little but everyone seems to like it just the same-so still
completely unmanipulated in any way-thought I'd throw it out here for
everyone and any further comments-Thanks!
