Hello all,
Please forgive the "triplicate" listing of my name. It was only 'cause I was trying to deceive the this thread by posting a larger-sized photo and had to delete the first two postings.
Lesson learned! I promise it won't happen again, Jose.
see you next WedNEsDAy!

Another WedNEsDAy PiC - another inspiring photo works. Hi all, good to hear from you all, again.
Rene, I am sorry to hear about your dog! May God rest his soul in peace!
Here is my post for this week. It was another experiment photo time - a photo of my 18-month-old-daughter taken at our temporarily studio-converted living room.
I am quite happy about the outcome.

Glad to see all your works again.
The following photo was taken by my wife's camera D40 (-I normally use my D80) in an effort to prove myself that it isn't the camera I have but my skills that make the photos outstanding and creative.
D40 ISO400 at f/5.6 55mm with a pop-up flash and sunset cutting thru a bedroom window
[Level -edited and sharpness-increased in PS]

Thank you for the opportunity, again photo.net! I am learning a lot from all the great photos and posters. I have been a member for almost a year now and I am having fun.
The following photo was taken last Saturday. It is one of the photos that I have been taking in an attempt to learning how to shoot on a manual mode.
Taken by D80 with Nikkor 17-55 mm/f2.8 lens with SB800 with a bouncer- 1/100sec at 55mm f7.1 with ISO 1600 in a fairly lit apartment.
Any criticism is welcome.

Hey John,
I just wanted to let you know that I used Pechman Imaging and I liked them very much.
Thank you very much for your recommendation.
Good day,

I shall check out the steps, David, and let you know what I learned. I hope you would allow me to ask you follow up questions, as well.
Nadine, I will include that in my list that I set forth to checking out this weekend.
Thank you very much all,
Alex

I strongly appreciate all the suggestions, Ronald, William, Mark and Ellis!
As William suggested, I shall go out and shoot as much as I can [of course in RAW]; and then, as Mark and Eillis suggested, edit them in Raw!
I shall start tomorrow morning.
I hope to get to tell you my improvements one day.

-

Ellis,
I normally work with JPEG's.
BTW I have also tried RAW but I found it to be time consuming during the post-photo process.
FYI I use photoshop CS and CS3 for Post-photo processing.
Thanks for your interest in helping me with this!

Pete,
Thank you very much! I shall check it out.
By the way, I just stopped-by Barnes and Nobel and check out a good book by Jeff Wignall - 'Exposure: Photo Workshop - Develop your digital photography talent.' 2008 edition.

-

Thanks a lot, Mike!
And Yes, I have read [may have to read it again, probably] the manual.

Haha... life "more difficult"!
Some times poorly exposed or over exposed.

25th Wedding Anniversary [for family friends]
in Wedding & Event
Posted

Hi all,
I have been asked to show up at a 25th wedding anniversary of a great family friends this weekend, as a surprise, and take a one to one-and-half-hour-photos. I have never covered anniversaries before, so any suggestion(s) on how and what should be covered would help a lot.
N.B.: They don't want to hire any photographer and nor am I receiving any sort of payment. It is just a favore.
Thanks for all your feedback,
