Thank you very much! Glad you liked it. Yes, that is the moon benith the aurora and just above the horizon. You should definitley come and see them yourself. I can asure you it is nothing like the real deal. The pictures give you an essence of it, but the live view is much better. Sometimes moves like crazy, and shifts form and goes between lots of different colors. Suddenly there aurora is dancing over the whole sky.

Im mostly self-taught, but my friend Martin Eliassen (he is on this site as well), has been of very good help. He instructed me when I first started. Don't know of any workshops, but here in Tromso, there is several dedicated aurora-guides. They know how to take the pictures and most of all, they know how to find the aurora.

    Try this one: http://www.kskogli.no/aurora/

    Good luck!

Nice one! a motive that has haunted me for the past 4 autumns I think. Allways planning of capturing the shrooms, but times run out for me every autumn. Next year. Great shot, thanks for sharing.

Like the smooth water(due to shutterspeed?) The colors and tones are great. I think the comp maybe is to heavy on the left side. I think it may also be an issue with the compression here. I see "pixels" around the lights and in some parts of the sea. Anyways a great shot.

Thanks. I try to process them to the point where they look like the scene was. I normally only use it to get a lit foreground and the sun correctly exposed. To my eyes and in my monitors....this looks like the scene it really was.

  1. Great scenery and capture. Like the soft light in the back. The overexposed rooftop doesnt bother me. Theres a beautiful mood to this picture. Maybe some of the brown leaves on the left could be cloned away? anyways good shot. Thanks for sharing!
