Thank you Christal and Radu!
Christal: You say it's a shame, and in a way I do agree. Its a waste of money and history. On the other hand....this is what I do, when the aurora season is over. So I like finiding these things :)

Beautiful scenery and great work! I like how the whole image is filled with elements. Cheers

Thank you very much!
Jeff: The Aurora comes in many colors. Green, blue, yellow, red and white (+ different shades inbetween). The main factor is the strength of the aurora (stength of the particles. There is also a differnce if the moon is present or not. In addition you have to correct the whitebalance. My earliest photos of aurora is a bit too green. It often can be difficult to set the wb beacuse theres no snow present, and even so, the aurora often color the snow.

Yep, thats true about the activity. It is however, depending on the weather as well. We missed the latest outburst in Tromso, due to snow and cloudy weather. This is from the last time in January. The aurora changes color after strength green, blue, yellow, red and white. and various shades inbetween.

As far as I know, the only diving board in Tromso. And this one is placed
high above the sea in a fjord that catches waves, swells and weather
directly from the norwegian sea = maybe there is 2 days during summer
that it can be used. (still, I doubt the water passes 8 degrees celsius)
However, this might be my new favourite motive for various landscape
photos.
